The pay is pretty competitive. They say the hours are flexible - I wondered how many hours were actually spent in the facility? Are your friends required to be there 8-5?
  2. Hi wondering if you took the job with Optum? There are quite a few jobs in my area and just looking for anyone's experience?
  3. Hi I was wondering if you got the job and are currently working in LTC?

Thanks for the info. Wow that's a lot of residents to be responsible for! Do you know anything about her hours? The job is for 40 but they keep saying it is very flexible - wondering if there is an average number she works, if they are all on site at the facility and if it is more than 40?

Hi, I am currently an FNP working in an internal medicine office part time and looking for a full time position. I'm thinking about LTC - hired by an outside company 8-5, with what seems like lots of independence and flexibility. The pay seems competitive and a nice sign on bonus. Wondering if anyone is currently working in this kind of environment and what their thoughts are? Is it truly 8-5 or is there some flexibility? During my interview the comment that was repeated a few times was it is very challenging but rewarding? Any thoughts or experiences are much appreciated!
