  1. Congrats! I remember reading somewhere that the fit test is done at orientation. I think it's just fitting for a mask. It's crazy your wedding is that same day! I would tell them. Maybe you could go early, get what you need, and leave early??
  2. @Sarahxo Oh yay maybe we'll be meeting soon then! Yes, I purchased the background check. Navigating Castlebranch was a little confusing at first, but I got the hang of it now. They verify things really quickly, usually same day! And they also have an easy to use app so I can check on the status of things right from my phone. EVERYTHING is verified through them so it's easy to keep track of all of the requirements in one place... For the background check, you just fill out a question form online. Same for the drug test, then you have to download your order form to take to LabCorp. From there the lab sends the results directly to them and they verify. For fingerprints you have to download a form and take it with you to a UPS store to get your fingers scanned. Those results get sent directly to them as well. For the immunizations/ physical, you have to actually scan and upload the forms filled out by the doctor's office. If you're using a CentraCare (and are not sure if your shot records are in the online database) make sure to take a copy of your high school transcripts since those usually have your immunization record on them. The CentraCare I used (Sanford) was used to getting Nursing students so they knew the drill. I did the physical, flu shot, PPD test, and Varicella titer and the total came to about $140. Once we complete the CPR course, we scan the card and upload it to Castlebranch as well. Hope this info helped anyone getting started with the whole process!
  3. Congrats!! I know, it's so crazy. Just one step at a time.. I already did the background check, fingerprints were quick (at a UPS store lol), I'm at a CentraCare now waiting on physical and immunizations.. *takes breath* ..Next week I do the drug test and I have the CPR class scheduled at Valencia West for Nov 5th. I've been waiting for this so long, I just wanted to get everything out of the way haha
  4. @dsylvain2 I signed up for the CPR class that's held at Valencia West Nov. 5th. Got my fingerprints done today and have an appointment at CentraCare tomorrow for physical and immunizations. Drug test scheduled at Labcorp next Wednesday. I'm a freak but I hate seeing things unchecked on a to-do list!
  5. Looks like it's all due by 12/5.. and they'll actually have some stuff onsite at orientation available, like immunizations. But I'm going to get everything done asap. I would definitely schedule the CPR class right away. December is right around the corner and you don't want them to fill up. Also get the background check/ drug screen process started now trough "Castlebranch," in case there is some sort of delay. Quite the process!
  6. Also, did anyone who applied for both the Concurrent and Traditional programs get acceptance emails to both? I replied and accepted the Concurrent one, but I want to make sure that if I decline the Traditional email it doesn't affect my spot in the other one. So confusing!
  7. Wow, has anyone had a chance to look at that To-Do list yet???
  8. Just got my VCC email for concurrent!
  9. @dsylvain2 Hm maybe she had emailed them and they were replying? She didn't specify but if they're to be believed, hopefully you'll know soon!
  10. Hey guys! Someone on another thread said they got an email from Health Sciences saying emails would go out today or tomorrow.. I didn't get anything but maybe it's for the Traditional program peeps? Fingers crossed it's real this time!!
  11. Yea I just checked my UCF email to see if they added anything. The admissions person is the one who kept telling us when VCC would send their emails, but I don't have anything new from them as of today. Last she said was it'd be Friday (today). Sorry guys! You'll know very soon!!
  12. Nope :/ Been checking all day!
  13. Sarahxo, Yes, I RSVP'd to the first email from the College of nursing as well. I would check with Maralena again to make sure your RSVP is being accepted for sure!
  14. Wow! I say you have nothing to worry about based on those grades!! I have 3.55 VCC gpa and 4.0 science pre req.. 92.7% TEAS UCF might just be waiting for Seminole to be ready. I've heard You hear from UCF first, which was the case for us VCC people.
  15. Hi! A handful of us heard from UCF on Monday (knights email). VCC will be sending emails out tomorrow. I haven't heard anything about Seminole's timeline..
  16. I don't know for sure but I have a feeling it's for both programs. VCC technically could've already sent their emails for the concurrent program, but maybe they're waiting to send them all out at once. It's hard for for me to check on my phone, but I remember someone on here who applied for the traditional program were told emails would go out by the end of this week. Seems to line up!
  17. The reply just says "thank you," no new information. Maybe I was overly enthusiastic in my RSVP and they felt compelled to acknowledge it lol The reply looks like it came from Maralena Cruz, whose the concurrent-specific admissions specialist. I guess you could message her just to confirm your RSVP was received!
  18. I RSVP'd immediately! Yesterday I received a reply so I know they got it. Now we wait for the long, long list of tasks we need to complete before we're "official"..
  19. Thanks! I applied to UCF/ Valencia. I got an email today that said Valencia would be sending out their emails on Friday (instead of Thursday as they had previously stated)..
  20. Hey, just a heads up! Got a new email today letting us know VCC will now be sending their emails out on Friday. Hopefully you see this and don't freak out if you don't see anything on Thursday..
  21. Hey, I got my acceptance email from UCF today!! It says Valencia will be sending theirs out on Thursday.. hopefully that applies to all programs and you'll know soon! Good luck!!!
