  1. One interesting commonality so far is that everyone posted their acceptance are into the ACE program...
  2. I think positive things can result from healthy debates. I personally admire both of you on keeping the conversation constructive and positive. I can see with members like you guys, the class 2018 would be a very interesting class to be in. Thank you both.
  3. Congrats to you, ntatman, on your acceptance too!
  4. Congrats to you, Carlsen_M on your acceptance! I have not got my acceptance letter (7 to 10 business days in the mail) but an acceptance email today into the ACE program. I think I see your point, Carlsen_M: information accuracy. I think one purpose of this forum is to hear information from anyone who is on this boat. I think tinko and ntatman gave some general statistics (or averages), although might not expressed accurately, but do not necessarily include every single applicant accepted. For a simplified example, if the average of program GPA of a pool of three accepted applicants is 3.8. Student One has a program GPA of 4.0. Student Two has a program GPA of 3.8. Then Student Three has to have a program GPA of 3.6. Just because one accepted applicant does not have a high program GPA does not necessarily indicate the program GPA of the entire pool is low. Moreover, GSU also looks at a few other factors such as TEAS, science GPA, etc. I think we should try to exchange information freely but as accurately as possible and let the readers be the judges.
  5. Sorry, Carlsen_M if my words did not come out right to you. I was only trying to say that I did not have to find these stats I posted. They were given during an info. session. I guess they might not have the stats from 2016 or 2017 yet when you asked them? When the demand (150 to 200 some applicants) is so much more than the supply (only approximately 70 seats), I guess they could afford to be secretive or act however they like, not that I personally agree with the way they conduct themselves. Like you said, we do not have much control of anything at this point. I found the following information on stats from 2013 applicants. Check it out. Admission Statistics Archives - Nursing (Assessed on 10/28/2016)
  6. No, I don't know anyone in person. As far as the stats, they were given during the nursing information session in September. Had you gone there, you should have got those too. From reading the last a couple years' posts on this site, I also noticed the averages of the accepted GPA's and TEAS scores are in an increasing trend...
  7. I do not know how much each part of the application packet weighs. It would be very nice for them to tell the applicants somewhere on their website. However, I was told during the Nursing Info. Session that the Program GPA, science GPA and TEAS score are the most important factors.
  8. I posted all I know (stats) on my second post on Oct. 16.
  9. I try not to overthink about this although difficult. If I get in, great! If not, not the end of the world. I think my chance is average based on the statistics from 2015. What about you, Carlsen_M?
  10. Thank you both, hpark0868 and Carlsen_M, for sharing.
  11. Carlsen_M, I was reading under the Admissions Status Tab not under the Application Summary Tab. Under the Application Summary Tab, mine says "Your letter is on the way..." too.
  12. It looks like that my application status was updated to "Complete-Ready for Review." Interesting...
  13. You think they sent out the letters already? Based on What I observed from previous years, they were not sent out until the 31st of this month. They also postponed the deadline of application by 15 days this semester.
  14. During an information session hosted by Mr. Hugh Grant and Mr. Jamelle Funches a few weeks back. The average GPA's among those who got accepted for Fall 2015 were 3.76 (TRAD) and 3.83 (ACE). The average GPA's among those who got accepted for Spring 2015 were 3.79 (TRAD) and 3.80 (ACE). I thought these statistics may be of interest to some.
  15. For those who are viewing this thread. GSU's new deadline for Spring 2017 Traditional and ACE programs is 5 pm on Saturday, 10/15/2017 (See link below). There are probably not enough applicants I guess. Undergraduate Admissions - Nursing
