  1. I took the NCLEX yesterday, and convinced myself that I failed. So I wasn't too concerned about it because I already made my mind up that I will have to retake it. Now I got an email from pla with my license number. The state website has registered nurse next to my name and it says active. I'm going to pay to get quick results, but right now I'm obsessing over this. Does this mean that I might have passed?
  2. I have one day left of med surg 1 clinical and I feel like I am missing out on a lot. I am currently a CNA so I already know how to assist with ADLs, vitals, and head to toe assessments. We have clinical at a nursing home. We have done nothing but CNA work (ADLs, vitals, head to toe). We haven't even done bed baths. I haven't had a chance to shadow a nurse. The instructor gets mad if she sees us talking to nurses instead of assisting with ADLs. So is this common for med surg 1 clinicals? I'm disappointed because I haven't learned anything this semester, it is a waste of my time. Please tell me it gets better!
