Lovelynurses2b, FSW is accredited. What you may have heard is that we had to go through the accrediting process again earlier in February due to some reason they really haven't explained to us. Anyways, we ended up passing the accreditation process and are currently still accredited.

Hey I just finished Level 1 at Collier Campus. I gotta say that studying is definitely different in this program than prereqs. You see, most of this material is more than just memorization. You have to study to understand the material. I mostly used the powerpoints to study, but my teacher always referenced the book. There are things like tables and charts and she would be like "Look at this page and know this chart" so we would do just that. I don't think it's necessary to read EVERYTHING but I would say to skim through it, at least for Level 1. If you see something you don't understand in the powerpoint, look for it in the book because the book provides a more in depth explanation. Also I would suggest study groups. Study by yourself beforehand and then study with the group on the weekend (We usually studied Sunday for 6-9 hours for our tests on monday). Study groups provided lots of insight and can help you understand things you didn't before. So always come in with some questions you have to see maybe someone else gets it and can explain it to you. Practice questions are definitely helpful, I would say if you can go to a library and rent out a fundamentals of nursing book (or buy it if you have the money), use those questions. The only issue is that there are some topics that we didn't touch up on in Level 1 that some of those fundamental books go on about. I bought Saunders NCLEX RN Comprehensive Review book and it's really great; but same issue with it, it touches on some things we didn't go over in Level 1.

Hey guys. I'm actually having trouble with one thing about our Uniforms. I believe we need to get hospital approved shoes for our uniform but I can't seem to find any. I went to the store that made our uniforms with the logo and tried on the Dansko shoes but they really bothered me so I didn't get them. Is there any other brand I guess that you guys bought? Or can we just buy any pair of white leather shoes and be good?

Thank you so much for answering me! It's actually a relief hearing about the ATI thing comes with the bundle. I know rachel97x3 from high school so at least we have each other to get together and study. We were talking about it the other day and were gonna get a few other students from our campus to try and do a group study for tests and such. I feel like group studying helps quite a lot for me because I like hearing everyone's reasoning on how or why certain answers are correct and ways to remember them.

For Solus, is there any other books or study materials that you had bought that helps reinforce some of the learning done in class? I want to buy other books to help me retain some information but I don't know what books are good.

The ATI is purchased at the bookstore. You buy it and you give a copy of the receipt to your campus person (Mine is Edna). ATI sends them the code to give to you I believe.

Alright I finished my checklist! All my immunization records were good, I got my books, ATI, uniform, BLS, registered for classes and now the only thing I have to do left is pay for the classes which I'm waiting for financial aid to see how much I would have to pay. I'm so excited guys we are starting in less than a month!

@FutureNurseM2018 Is it okay for me to ask you what chapters did you start with in your first semester? For both Pharmacology and Health and Wellness? I want to get an early start with reading. I know it might be different this semester but I at least want to have an idea of what you started with.

We only have clinical once a week but I think you do have to wear your scrubs or polo for the lecture and lab portion as well. I bought three sets since i just can't take care of white clothes lol.

I bought a set of 3 scrubs for $81. I forgot to ask about the lab coat... oops. I'll get that tomorrow or something and I'm planning on buying to polos at the bookstore just because I'm gonna be there tomorrow also.

I believe we're supposed to scan them and upload them onto the castlebranch website once we purchased the Compliance Tracker. I'm not sure though I would call and ask them.

I started doing the checklist stuff. I emailed my two forms already, ordered my uniform, and already have my BLS card from last year lol. Good for another year so that's great! I want to do the orientation modules already but I got through until they were telling us to enter the Nursing Colloquium for our campus and I stopped there because the paper says to enter the course AFTER our major has been changed. Also hoping I can go to the bookstore tomorrow and see the total for the books and ATI package. Maybe if I'm lucky I can buy them but ehh that's a lot of money.

Unless they're using letters/packages to inform us then Saturday can also be an option. Mail doesn't come on Sunday so that's out of the question. I was so hoping for today.

I'm hoping tomorrow also. I've literally had anxiety this past week because I just want to know the results already! Ugh!

Yes packages got sent out today but we should be receiving them Wednesday or Thursday. They never specifically stated they would tell us via mail or email so I guess if nothing today then tomorrow or Thursday would be the day we find out.

I have nothing either. Well Edna told me that Wednesday-Thursday is when we should be receiving acceptance letters so lets hope tomorrow is the day!

Are you talking about in the Phase I admission email? Because for me I got the email from Edna and it says from Edna to Edna.

I would be also. But I think everyone who got the phase I is pretty much safe. I just called Edna for Collier and she told me that they are going to start sending the acceptance packets on November 15 and we should expect them the 16th or 17th so next Wednesday and Thursday.

Omg I really do hope it's tomorrow. Like I can't handle this wait anymore.

I don't think there's a link for the instructions and if there is I can't find it. I'm sorry but what one of us could probably do is send the document to your buc email! And my video was 5 minutes with 9 seconds so I don't think it'll be bad as long as you don't go over 30 seconds past the time they said Can I also get the link for the books for the semester I have no idea where to find the books or what books are even needed honestly!
