  1. Omg congrats!!!!!!! :):)
  2. Hey Laila, I think 75 is a good number! I did 75 questions daily from Uworld then went back and looked over all questions again to really solidify my learning. I think it's good to take ur time and focus on the rationales in Uworld. If u feel like 3 weeks isn't enough time, then I would push back . Did you make a schedule for yourself? I pushed back at least 3 times for mine and the extra time definitely helped!! Just set a target be schedule for yourself and if u feel u need an extra week that's ok!!
  3. Hey! If u got the good pop-up u likely passed!!! :) As long as you did the PVT after u got the acknowledgement letter from Pearson Vue. I coudlnt believe that I passed too until my letter came in the mail!
  4. Got my results in the mail yesterday! I passed!!! Pvt worked for me. Hard to believe until you see it!!!
  5. :)u can do it!!!! It will be much better the second time because now you know what the actual test is like.
  6. Hey Laila, I just took the Nclex as well and walked out crying feeling like I failed. I just wrote in another post about my experience but thought I would share it here with you. I bought both the Uworld and Kaplan testbank and courses. Also listened to Hurst and mark klimek. My content is super lacking so Uworld and hurst were both helpful for that . Hurst is only good for basic knowledge in my opinion. Also everyone I know raved about Uworld. Halfway through my studying, I felt overwhelmed with resources and concentrated mostly just on Uworld and the rationales . I felt it wasn't enough for me during the nclex. I saw a few questions VERY similar to Kaplan. I was so mad at myself for not paying more attention to Kaplan. That being said, I did not find their strategies or course helpful. JUST the testbank!!!!!! Mark klimek also helped A LOT. This guy is the bomb!!!!! Unfortunately I'm in Canada so I couldn't attend his course in person but my friend shared her recordings with me. Since it was from a few years back, some info was outdated but overall helpful. If you google Mark klimek blue book, his tips go a long way, esp for EKG strips. I also did some question from Lacharity (I didn't finish it all). Honestly can't remember if it was helpful or not. So yea!!!! Use Uworld for content and SATA style to practice but take a look at Kaplan questions as well and Mark klimek tips!!!! Hope this helps!!!
  7. MAg426, Congrats!!! I tested yesterday and I have been preoccupied with the same question you had although this is my first time Fingers crossed for the PVT trick!!! I've done it like 5 times since my exam already I finished at around 10:30 am yesterday so I'll try again in a few hours!!!!!!
  8. Hi Lahdeedah, I heard if you get the bad PVT pop-up, it's not necessarily accurate and they mark your exam twice or something!!! Don't give up hope!!!!!! Also, for anyone retaking: Everyone I know raved about Uworld Uworld Uworld. I bought both the Uworld testbank, and Kaplan course. My nursing friends shared the Hurstt videos and Mark Klimek lectures with me, which I dutifully listened to and made notes. After doing several Kaplan question trainers, I stopped using it because compared to Uworld, their rationales were crappy. I focused JUST on Uworld, and made notes on top of my Hurst notes. I did Uworld questions TWICE, reading the rationales carefully. At my nursing program in Canada, we have a whole year of community nursing in 3rd year, with 4th year being mostly practicals, and I also got a community placement in 4th year so I haven't used my patho and med surg knowledge since 2nd year. My content was really really lacking and I found Uworld and Hurst really helpful for that. BUT, during my nclex exam, I realized the content from Uworld and Hurst was NOT enough. I got a bunch of EKG strips. One of them I never saw in Uworld - after my exam I tried to look it up to be sure . However, I did learn about it in the Mark Klimek lectures. Omg!!! He helped me so much with the EKGs!!!!!!! Also, I saw some questions that were REALLY super similar to Kaplan, like almost word by word. After my exam I really kicked myself for not going through the Kaplan testbank. It LOOKED just like Uworld but with similar questions from Kaplan. That's just how it was to me.
  9. I tested today too for NCLEX RN! I walked out thinking I failed:( I used Uworld and didn't feel like it was helpful during the test.. did the pvt and got the good pop up but who knows...I didn't know crap!!!!!!!!
