  1. Yes! I have looked at some of the schools and most of them require an undergrad GPA of 3.0 or higher. My current GPA is a 3.3 and I have two more prerequisites that I need to get done, which are Developmental Psychology and Human Nutrition. I have thought about transferring into a different school but I would have to wait 6 months to a year to be able to apply to them and so my only option was to get a public health degree here at the university I'm at right now and hopefully be able to get accepted in the Direct Entry Programs. I know those programs are competitive but I don't want to give up yet.
  2. Hi everyone! I am new to this blog and was hoping you guys can help me out here! I used to be a nursing student and would have graduated in December 2016 because I did the summer cohort that my school offered but since I failed the Acute Care HESI, I am not longer in the nursing program. I am currently a Public Health major with a Community Health concentration and I still have my heart set on nursing. I looked at some Direct Entry MSN programs because I do want to become a Nurse Practitioner. I was wondering if there were any schools you guys would recommend because I don't know who to go to for guidance that would know more information about these programs offered. I am so distraught from being dismissed from the nursing program, when I only had one semester to finish that I had lost all hope. I still have 4 more semesters to finish my public health major and wanted to be prepared for when I go apply for the Direct MSN programs. I hope to hear from some of you with your experiences with this!!! It would mean a lot to me.
