  1. I was just doing it because it's cheap and easy. I do have to take one prerequisite at Florida State College though. I assume the advantage (if any) would be that the application committee would know exactly what class you took and how you scored based on their grade scale and they would see that you're already a UF caliber student (if you did well).
  2. I am you, you are me. We are never satisfied with anything unless it has been micromanaged to death. You're probably doing a great job but as a nursing assistant you don't have as much responsibility as you think you should have (or can handle). Keep working at it and get through nursing school. I assume you have an attention to detail that will make you a wonderful nurse!
  3. Having the same issue with getting into UF classes as a non-degree student and I'm EXTREMELY stressed about it. I've tried calling Kenneth Winn several times to discuss other options and he never answers. Anyone applying to the Jacksonville campus here? Best of luck to everyone!
  4. I'm currently trying to get prerequisites together and I just scheduled a CPR/BLS for Healthcare Workers class to add to my resume (you also need it if you are accepted). I'm applying to Jacksonville since I live here already and have a family.
  5. I'm glad you created the thread because I anticipate having lots of questions! I'm not a current UF student or alumni. My father-in-law is on the UF Jacksonville medicine faculty so I'm hoping that will help my application I want to have my application in early so I'm starting to get stressed about getting everything together. How is your application prep going so far?
  6. I'm also applying for 2017 and I don't think you have much to worry about if you already have a master's with a good GPA. I would think that your statement regarding your reasoning for changing careers will be very important to your particular app just due to the fact that you have already completed upper level study for something else. Hope this eases some of your concerns.
  7. Not sure if there is an updated group/thread for those applying for 2017 but would you mind new applicants in Jax joining your group?
