Clinical is usually in the Chicago area but sometimes a student can get placed far away from where they live. Hospitals generally include Resurrection Medical Center, St. Mary's and Elizabeth Hospital, St. Joseph hospital in Chicago and Elgin, etc. I have a car so going to clinical was not a problem for me. Classes are usually 4 days a week and 1 day clinical when you first begin.

Classes are long! It is usually 2 hours minimum and sometimes up to 3 hours but you get breaks every hour or so. A school day can take up the whole day and personally the longest day I ever had was 9-5pm and that's 3 classes a day.

The nursing program has it's flaws and benefits. The flaws heavily depends on the professors that will be teaching the classes you will be taking. Some professor teaches really well and some teaches straight out of powerpoint so you're on your own learning. Apple laptop or Window laptop are fine for classes because exams are taken using exam guard and I personally use an Asus and never ran into any problem. For labs/clinicals you'll need to buy a nursing tot bag from the school that's like $79 (if I remembered correctly) and it'll comes with a BP cuff, the fake medications, simulation foley kit, etc. You also need to get a set of maroon scrubs and will have to wear it for clinical and for labs on certain days when notified. They'll tell you everything during orientation.
