  1. How often do residents report cnas for abuse? How often is the abuse false? What is the process they go through once a cna is suspended for abuse?
  2. I didn't laugh. I started to cry. I feel a little better knowing they were just trying to scare me. Thank you.
  3. I am a CNA. I went into work earlier today feeling fine. Three hours later as we were changing someones dressing I felt as if I was going to faint. A nurse told me to go get another CNA, a drink and to rest. After drinking water and waiting a few minutes I went to go help someone with a transfer. During that transfer I had to run to the rest room to vomit. After vomiting I went and told two nurses that I needed to go home and something wasn't right. I clocked out and had to vomit again. As I was waiting for my ride the scheduler and activities coordinator came out to talk to me and told me that I was abandoning my residents and that if I left I could lose my certification. In my unit there were three other cnas that could cover my place until a replacement showed up. Could I lose my certification and is this considered abandonment? I knew myself well enough that I needed to go home so I did and more symptoms showed up after I got home.
