I was accepted into the program, but my friend was accepted as an "alternate". I'm not quite sure what this means, does this mean if someone doesn't show for the program, then she gets in? I tried calling the nursing dept. but no answer. Thanks.

Hello all! This is my first post (as I am brand new to the forums). I've always ended up at allnurses.com via Google for any questions I've had. Anyways, I've recently submitted an application for the Spring of 2016 at College of the Mainland. I am currently waiting (impatiently) for a response from the Nursing Department. I've come to realize that the deadline has stretched from August 1st to August 15th. I'm not quite sure the wait time, but would like to hear from anyone who has applied last semester. Also, I'd like to know who else has applied this spring.
