Thanks for taking the time to read my post and responding. I did read over alot of threads and most are talked about having a low gpa as a result of nursing school. I am currently doing fine in nursing school, but I'm do have a horrendous gpa in a previous unrelated degree 10 years ago. I posted today hoping somebody who knew alot about the field and the application process could help evaluate my particular situation. Obviously, you are not that person. Regardless, I still appreciate you taking the time to read my post and responding even though it was not particularly helpful.

A brief history of myself. I had a 4.0 in high school and entered a top 10 college completely immature and sheltered. Long story short, I ended up drinking and partying and did not focus on my studies at all and graduated with a 2.4 gpa as a result. Fast forward 10 years, I worked as a veterinary technician at a primate research facility and eventually became a senior lead research specialist managing 12+ other technicians. Over my 10 years in primate research, I also earned the highest certifications that were available, presented posters at many conferences around the US, and I'm a co-author on 7-8 published papers across various journals. During this time, I decided I wanted to enter the nursing field and began to take prereqs which I ended up getting a 4.0 across all prereqs. I was accepted into an accelerated program who somehow was willing to overlook my abysmal undergrad gpa and I'm currently in the middle of the program. Right now, I have a 4.0 gpa (my school does the scale where 95+ is 4.0, 90-94 is 3.75) in nursing school and feel pretty confident that I can keep it at that or close to it for when I graduate. My question for you guys is will my gpa in my previous degree before my BSN be a deal breaker for CRNA school? I really want to become an CRNA, but I have no idea if that is even an option at this point because I know alot of schools care alot about gpa. Thanks in advance

Has anybody gone to an interview yet? There hasn't been much activity in this thread for almost a month now and I was just curious to hear about interview experiences. Has anybody been rejected after their interview? My interview isn't for another 3 weeks, but I'm very anxious because I plan on quitting my job and moving from Georgia to Colorado if I'm accepted. I'm not sure when official acceptances are given out, but I hope it's sooner than later because I barely have enough time to prepare as is.
