  1. Exactly. The practice tests you can almost do by dissecting the question and answers. It isn't content, well It is and isnt. The NCLEX definitely had content, in depth content. So I guess I'm going back to studying content!
  2. I am attempting my NCLEX exam for the 2nd time in 45 days. I was thinking about purchasing NCSBN Review considering they are supposed to help structure the NCLEX. Anyone have experience with this review? Recommend any others?
  3. I paid for my quick results this morning and I did indeed fail. So I guess 45 days and 200 more dollars later, I'll take it again. I'm gonna study hardcore. My test had atleast 10 EKG strips on it, and not asking the rhythm but about drugs to take and other scenarios. I was praying they would just ask for the rhythm lol I had about 5 dosage questions. Alot of psych and alot of meds (alot of cardiac meds) and who do you see first questions. Abgs also but not like here are the abgs are they acidotic or metabolic etc more in depth than that. Im mot going to lie it was HARD! I also had a few questions as soon as i clicked submit i knew i picked the wrong answer and what the right one was.I think I'm going to go hard in the cardiac area. I'm trying to determine a study plan. I don't know if I can go through the heart ache of failing again.
  4. You are right. I'm so tired of stressing! But not sure how to stop. Everytime I see anything that has anything to do with nursing (on pinterest, facebook) my stomach turns. I guess I will just give it a week and hit the books again. I don't even want to buy my quick results. Who knew failing could be so depressing. I really didn't think I would get so discouraged. Anyways, enough Debbie downer lol
  5. So I took my NCLEX today at 8 am. I had all 265 questions. I was a total wreck leaving. I didn't and don't feel good about my results at all. I studied with Kaplan for the past 3 months consistently. Plus using NCLEX Mastery and going over mnemonics also. I did the PVT immediately, then a few hour later also. I had the "good pop" up I guess. It said I had already had a scheduled exam but this evening I've been getting the bad pop up. It says to call cc company cars denied. I'm not sure where to even begin with studying again. I really felt confident going into it. Any suggestions? I have done questions upon questions preparing so apparently that didn't help.
  6. I scored a 62.8% in my readiness. I have started with NCLEX mastery now. I haven't done too awful with it besides in Med Surg. I test this weekend. I'm a basket case right now lol
  7. I agree. The rationales aren't great. I try to look up everything I'm not really familiar with. I have been all over the place with my scores on the QBank and finally the last 5 or 6 test I have consistently scored between a 50 and a 60. I have around 200 questions left. Then I will take the readiness. I am anxious about the readiness because I am going to take the NCLEX regardless of the result. I hope I don't have a horrible score and psych myself out over it. I have had a few friends recommend UWORLD also. Fingers crossed I pass and won't have to spend any more money on resources! But if I'm not so lucky I think that I will be investing in UWORLD.
  8. I have also only been doing about 20 questions at a time, multiple times a day. I have 3 kids so it is hard to concentrate for too long at a time. But within the next week I'm definitely going to take time out and away to study. I did the NCLEX prep tests also in Kaplan and did well on the priorities test scoring in the 70s but the SATA I scored a 25!! Horrible. So I am worried tremendously about SATA. My school is saying if we don't score atleast a 60 on the readiness test to not take out NCLEX. But I however am taking it regardless. Thank you for encouragement!!
  9. I need some opinions. I am currently using Kaplan to prepare for the NCLEX. I have around 550 questions left in the QBank. My cumulative score is 52. I scored a 67 in my pre diagnostic test. And after taking the 5 day review I scored a 51 on the other test. I take my NCLEX in a few weeks. I feel like I am all over the place with the QBank questions. One time I score a 60, then a 40 and a 50 here, a 76 once. I'm just wondering if anyone who has experience with Kaplan would care to elaborate if it helped them. I am terrified.
