I'm somewhat of a nimrod right now...I just finished reading the booklet on the NMC website regarding the application process, the ONP, what is required, etc. However, I'm not quite clear on how to get started. Am I supposed to just send over money to even get the application? And I didn't see any IELTS sites here in the U.S.? I'm a bit confused on how to get the application process started.

I am in search for nursing placement agencies who place American nurses in the UK for temporary work. Does anyone have any recommendations (since there are several out there) in terms of good and bad experiences, excellent packages offered (i.e. pay, accomodations, travel subsidies, etc.)? Likewise, is it suggested to find a company to sign on with prior to starting the NMC application process so that that company can also help with the process (it seems quite lengthy and detailed)? I am looking to work in London during summer of 2006 for a minimum of 3 months so I am looking for a company that offers a lot of assistance with helpful recruiters. Time is a ticking so any info would be great..

Hey all...I'm new to this site and thought it'd be a good way to get ideas and advice on how to initiate an international travel nurse career. I've been a travel nurse in the U.S. for 3 years and am looking to branch out to the U.S. Virgin Islands in January then possibly London in the U.K. for next summer. If anyone has any suggestions on international traveling nurse companies or how I go about getting started, please let me know. I don't have much time if I want to leave in January so your recommendations, comments, advice, etc. are greatly appreciated! Thanks!:)
