Hi everyone, congrats on your acceptances! For the microbiology prerequisite, does anyone have suggestions for where to take the course online? I'm looking at Excelsior, since it is only 8 weeks, and it is $1,500. Does anyone have any recommendations for courses that are cheaper than Excelsior? Thank you!

Hi everyone, I am planning on applying in february/march to nyu's 15 month accelerated program and am wondering about my chances of getting in. Right now (fall 2016) I am taking chemistry and statistics at Wellesley and will likely receive a B- in stats and a B in chemistry. Then I will be taking online lifespan psych and nutrition courses in january and plan to be finished with them by the time I send in my application. In the summer I will be taking A&P 1, 2, and microbiology at a local community college. If I can aim to have a B- or higher in my prerequisites and I have a 3.4 gpa, majoring in Computer Science and Art at Wellesley, how do my chances of acceptance look? I do not have much volunteer/clinical experience, but I do have experience doing 1-1.5 years of research at a lab at MIT. Do you have any tips/advice on how to make my application stronger? Thank you!

Hi, I am taking chemistry and stats this semester as prereqs for an ABSN/accelerated nursing program that I plan on applying to in the future. I am also taking a computer science and art course this semester. My theory is that if i take Computer science and art as pass/fail, I will be able to get a higher grade in chemistry and stats. If i take computer science and art for a grade, then i will get a lower final grade in chem and stats. If i take cs and art as pass/fail, will nursing schools look down on that when they see my transcript? Or do they tend to focus more on my prereq grades than grades in other classes? Thank you!

Hi Everyone, I am in need of a bit of advice on where to take prerequisites for the Columbia MDE nursing program. The prerequisites I still need to take are a&p 1, a&p 2, microbiology, nutrition, and psychology. I have the option of taking the courses online, at a local community college, or at the harvard extension school ( I go to school near Boston). Does anyone have any advice on where to take the prereqs?

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to make my application appear strong? I'm coming from a computer science background and will need to take the prereqs at another institution or online. Does anyone have recommendations for where to take online courses/courese in general? Also has anyon volunteered at mgh itself?
