  1. My third step still says incomplete and I asked another student, there's does too. I think it's just pending school administrator review which they'll probably do after the deadline.
  2. According to the welcome packet, mandatory new student orientation is Wednesday November 30th 2016 from 5pm-7pm at the melbourne campus building 4
  3. I am very happy to be accepted to my schools ADN program. It is competitive and I worked hard to get in. My problem is, I also have a full time job which provides me with health benefits. I am young but it is still important to me to be medically covered. My program is a hybrid 2-day per week. One day is classroom and one day is a 12 hour clinical. I want to be in a position where I can really learn, not just cram for tests. I feel like working full time makes me manage my acedemic time unwisely, leading to cramming. My job will give me off the two days I need, but cannot promise me any extra days off, 4x10 shifts, 32 hours a week, or anything like that which would allow me to stay fulltime but have more personal/study time. 1. Is it realistic to work 5 days a week while in a hybrid nursing program? 2. Are there any other opportunities for health insurance if I need to drop full time? This is Florida/USA. I'm assuming I could go on the ACA marketplace and get something subsidized but I've heard the plans are expensive and high deductable. (This is only hearsay, please correct if i'm wrong) Thanks
  4. So here's what I know so far in case anyone else runs into any questions; 1. The certified background check website is actually castlebranch.com and the site is an awesome way to keep up with everything. 2. I could not locate my documentation about immunizations from any of the recommended sources, so my doctor wrote me lab work orders for titer tests. I went to quest diagnostics with it and it cost $160 bucks. 3. The price you pay for castlebranch includes the cost of the urine test and the finger printing. I went to the UPS store in Vero and they were cool. It took about 10 minutes total. 4. All Uniform Wear on 192 was a great experience. Ignore there yelp reviews, there was two younger workers there who were extremely helpful and friendly. I found they were low on sizes for the navy scrubs so I ordered some from inside the store once I tried on and found a size. They also have the patches too but they don't put the patches on for you. 5. I hand delivered my acceptance packet to Barbara Hartman on the third floor of the Palm Bay campus. I wasn't going to risk mailing it! My wife signed as my witness. 6. In the packet there's a page that asks for emergency contact info and asks about your placement. You don't have to fill that out because you aren't placed yet. 7. According to the class list, classes start January 9th or the 10th if that's the Tuesday.
  5. Does anyone know what the $126.65 "Medical Equipment Affiliates Direct Sale Kit" is? I find it shocking that nowhere on the paper OR the website that you order it from does it actually tell you what you're buying? What is in this kit? If I buy this kit do I still need the stethoscope and tools listed on the page following it (for sale in the bookstore)?
  6. ACCEPTED! Woohoo! See you all in January! Btw will we all be in the same class or are there a few separate classrooms teaching the same topics?
  7. Applying for the program. Will have 31 points, 3 letters of reference, and hopefully a high teas score. Taking it Thursday.
