I was interested in going into LPN/LVN (and maybe later doing a bridge over to becoming an RN) but my friend convinced me otherwise. She explained that a lot of LPN/LVNs do the dirty work of Nurses and basically, (if unlucky) your co-workers act like high schoolers and might even bully you. I don't know how true this is. It just seems like getting into nursing is extremely competitively even though there is a shortage of nurses and even after you're employed, I just don't want to be in that environment of verbal abuse..

I was under the impression that RN required longer schooling than LPN?

Thank you! Do you know which schools in Northern California best prepares students for a career in LPN/LVN? I've done some research but it mostly says certification or degree and passing the NCLEX-PN. It doesn't really mention if I'm required to take general courses like english or something.

Hello! I'm interested in studying to become an LVN/LPN but was wondering if we could get certified online. There were a few schools online that I've found but vast majority of them seem to have very low ratings. I'd like to be prepared to work as an LVN/LPN (and maybe possibly study even further to become a full fledged RN). It is preferable that I study online... Are there any reputable online schools for LVN/LPN? If not, what LVN/LPN schools in California would you recommend? Do they have a difficult admission process? Thank you for your time.
