Good luck everyone!!! Am excited for all of you!

I am hoping the first day is orientation and they go over everything with us. I am confused because it says I don't start class on Thursday until 11 but I thought we had class from 8:30 to 3:30 M-R

I figured the clinical posting would be posted 2 weeks befor clinical started. It would be nice to try and form a study group.

I am going on Thursday. Where do we go on campus? I heard the same thing. I am still hopeful there will be an email or something. I know no one to ask. I did not know anyone ate orientation. That is adding to the stress and nervousness.

Nervous. Excited. Terrified. Grateful. Just a few feelings. Did you get your badge?

Ok. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Ok. Then I guess it is back to vocab. What all are you learning about the words? Some are so simple I am sure I am not learning it correctly.

Well, I guess I will wear scrubs and a long sleeve t-shirt and bring regular clothes, just in case. But I like to think we will get some sort of email. We are all new to this! Didn't someone say at orientation that they created a FB page? I looked but could not find it so maybe I misunderstood.

I also have lab. I am curious about what we have to wear. Scrubs and white shoes? Will white tennis shoes work or does it have to be the all leather like the ones for clinical? No badge yet. I am still working full time until the 11th. I am going over on the 12th to get the badge. They can give it to you that day, right?

I am not sure if it is or not so I just figured I would start working on it. I did find a math for nursing exam on line that I printed out and am working through. A friend of mine took Dosage Calculations at Brookhaven so she is going to help me. What books are you going to take the first day or will you just take your laptop? I am hoping there will be an email or something to give us a heads up on what we can do to get started. I keep checking to see if any of my courses show up on canvas so I can look at the syllabus.

I am working on the words and trying to figure out what kind of math will be on the test. I really want to start reading but have no idea where to start, other than the fundamentals book. What are you studying?

Two weeks! Am excited and terrified! Can't wait to meet everyone and put names to faces.

Am finally registered. I have JM for clinical I think.

I am also starting Spring of 2017 and am leaving a 1 year old home. I hate it. But I also know that at this age he is not going to remember it. By the time he is old enough to understand I will just be a working nurse and he will know nothing different. And I will be able to give him much more than I could if I did not go to school now.

I still have not received my email to register. Am so ready to start. Less than a month to go!!

Have you done your ID? Can it be done after the 1st of the year?

I got the box bundle so I have the book and the electronic books.

I have not received the info to register yet but I did get books today.

I have a note that classes start the 17th. MLK is the 16th so all campuses are closed.

Thank you. I went the Tuesday before Thanksgiving for fingerprinting. Hopefully I will get it soon

Has anyone received their blue card yet? I am terrified of missing it.

I did receiv my email and directions for Castle Branch. I can't believe it is less than 3 months away!!

They commented several times that we were selected because of our reading scores on the PSB. I did not ask how everyone did or how many points they had to get in. I really suggest nailing the reading portion of the test. Good luck!
