Has anyone heard from Western in regards to paying a deposit or anything?

Did Brock not doing anything for you?? Go yell at them! and don't worry just yet I imagine a lot of people have already accepted other schools by now and will be declining, also when they get your grades if your average improves I think you would move up the list! Keep your head up!

Western Applicants check your student portals (there was no email sent out)!! I was just accepted there and I will be taking it! Good Luck to everyone else, hope there are lots of happy faces in the morning!

I feel exactly the same way, and say that to your registrar's office, I emailed them a bunch of times and they told me there was nothing they could do until I went in PERSON and explained my problem and they were able to work around it. I also emailed Western explaining the issue and that I would be super upset if I didn't get in because of a timing thing as opposed to because of my grades, and they said that the document I gave them was fine as long as it came from the school itself and not from me, and that I send them my transcript as soon as it is available. So hopefully you can work something out, don't give up, literally email and call as many people as you can until you get an answer!

I was in the same boat, my school won't send grades out until after May 31st, I went to my registrar's office and got them to send my grades in a different way other than on a transcript with a note saying that my transcript wouldn't be ready until after May 31st and Western was able to accept this in the mean time until I can get my official transcript to them. So maybe try talking to your registrar's office on Monday and see if they can do anything for you! Crossing my fingers for both of us!

Thanks for your words of encouragement! I was told today that their next round of offers will go out May 31st so I am keeping my fingers crossed that my transcript goes out before then! But I can be patient and wait as long as needed if I get in haha, Western is my first choice so hopefully I will see you there in September!

I have gotten into every other school I have applied to but Western is my first choice and I am in the same boat, my grades wont be finalized until the end of May so pretty sure they won't be in on time. It really upsets me

Got accepted to Queens today but I will be declining the offer for McMaster....still waiting on Western!

My overall average is an 84 and for my last 10 credits I think its an 83, not sure what Mac looks at!

My offer expires in two days and I still havent received mine so honestly I don't think its coming haha

Hahaha I would LOVE to trade if that was an option hahahaha, and honestly I have never calculated my GPA because it freaks me out too much but I would say my average in the last two years is like an 83? So nothing stellar, I do have research experience, lab volunteering, undergraduate thesis, two exchanges, and volunteer work, and I worked quite hard on the essay portion so I think my supplementary application definitely boosted me there. That's what worries me about Western since they only look at grades I am doubtful of getting an acceptance there however I still have my fingers crossed for Western and for all of you waiting on acceptances!

Just got an acceptance email from UofT this morning! I haven't heard from any other schools that I applied to (hoping on Western), so don't give up hope yet there is still tons of time!!

OUAC sends a request to your school and if there are any problems OUAC will send you an email saying that the transcript couldn't be released (I had a small amount of money owing on my account so my school wouldn't issue the transcript, I settled this up and then they sent the transcripts immediately). None of the schools I applied to had updated my status saying they received it, so I sent an email to OUAC asking if they had gotten the transcript and they said they had and then my statuses started to change. So maybe the schools just haven't updated that they have received it yet!

I am submitting mine in the next few days so I will let you know! Is there a word limit for the questions like "Leadership, community involvement" etc. It only says a word limit for the first two and the optional questions, are those 250 words as well?

Hey! From my understanding from emailing OUAC, and what I did, was do two transcript requests through OUAC one to send immediately and then one to send at the end of the winter term. The schools won't automatically send one at the end of the year unless you request it!

Maybe just call or email their admissions office just to ease your worries!

@bnavas You're right that is confusing! Queens asks for your high school transcript (I'm in my fifth year of university and they still want mine) so I assume for those courses listed under 'requirements for university students' are fine at the uni or high school level but it does look like you have to have them, so if you have high school biology I think that would work for that prereq, it's only the ones listed under the AST portion that have to be taken in university. So if you have high school biology I think you will be okay!

I think when a program says "biology, chemistry, english, math" thats the 4U courses for high school students going into the first year of a 4 year program, for accelerated programs I believe the only prerequisites you need are the specific university equivalent courses that each school lists under the program. Which school are you looking at specifically?

For references you just have to enter your referee's email address into the portal and UofT will send them an email with instructions on how to submit the reference, so it never goes through you, thats the only information they give us!

Hi Everyone! Has anyone applying to UofT gotten to the personal statement part yet? I haven't emailed my referees on the portal yet, so I can't get the instructions for the personal statement, can anyone tell me how long it is supposed to be and any specific questions they ask? I'd like to write out a draft to give to my referees so they get a feel for why I'm applying, why I'd be good for the program etc. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hello! I am also going to be applying for fall 2018 start. Thinking of applying to Western, Mac, UofT, and Queens. Basically wherever I meet the prereqs for! Glad to meet some other applicants :)
