  1. Im excited for us! I sent my application in!! Pray for me please, my gpa isnt a 4.0! Cant wait to get the word! Hope to make some good study partners too!!
  2. So what is it like? Did you apply for days or night class? Do the night classes finish faster? Did you have an option? Do you mind if i ask when you applied what your entrance gpa was?
  3. Thanks, i still think i lt is a good idea to be well and ready on the way in since ill be waiting 8 months to even find out if i can get in or not.. lol and if i cant the knowledge will become useful i wont have to study to take the teas.. so did you get in this semester? Yay!
  4. No im going to stick to taking the class and im going to retake it in February closer to the date. I feel like sticking to the reading class too because if i am having trouble other than distractions it will help and prepare me for all the reading i will be doing. I have already started preparing for the teas test in case and the reading questions are similar in a way
  5. How did it go? I was just reviewing a TEAS test 6 manual i purchased because for one, if i cant get into SPC i am going to need it and the other reason being is because i have heard of them testing on the TEAS test in orientation. I have to say if you need an extra boost and you learn better with a book in your hands the ati teas 6 manual is pretty good. I think im going to take the test again after going over this a few times because its already opened my eyes to a few things i remember now but had forgotten at the time of my test or i wasnt really looking at the passage that way..
  6. How is it graded anyway? Curious..
  7. Thanks, i really hope so.
  8. I need to! I mean an 88 is college level but a 95 is required or you need to take the course which i am going to do either way now.. maybe it will help me get in the right mind set for reading my books too my mind tends to float away i get distracted VERY easily..
  9. It is so hard because now I am sitting here with all this excitement and cant do anything with it! Unfortunately i am taking the reading class next semester because i cant get higher than an 88 but i feel so distracted when i go in that room to test. I may try to take it one more time if they are open..
  10. I know this is pretty early but i just finished my pre reqs for nursing and im on the border but I seriously CAN NOT wait to apply in march! Ill be finishing my AA if i dont get in.. so i will apply again if that happens but fingers crossed it wont! 3.766 gpa for application.. are you all excited?! Congrats to who got in last semester by the way! What how do you all feel at this point in time? Im feeling a huge accomplishment coming! --
  11. Thanks everyone!! I kind of wish they would look at my overall gpa or take my overall gpa instead of only the classes that get you into the program. I am mixing up the last of my classes to finish my AA degree so im trying to add other classes that can make USF requirements but really I would love to just get into this community college because they are the cheapest route.
  12. Its just so competitive down here i was reading blogs that said there were people who had 3.7s that didnt get in.. im just seriously worried and the next 7 or 8 months are going to feel that way because i cant apply until march and wont know anything until june or july..
  13. Coming from a competitive area -tampa bay- im curious what was your entrance GPA into nursing (below 4.0) i currently have a 3.766. I screwed up last semester and got 3 Bs.. anyway. 1..How realistic is it for me to get into a community college with this 3.766 gpa? 2..Should i wait and apply the second time if i dont get in because ill have my AA.. 3..What do you think about choosing to go to a more expensive school? 4..How did you choose between schools or did they possibly have some bad reviews?? ANY OTHER INFO PERTAINING TO APPLYING TO NURSING SCHOOL IS APPRECIATED
  14. SO. I am almost done with my A.A. i took science classes so it complies with the AS to get into nursing.. i live in pinellas county. If i cant get into nursing school at st pete college should i try to go to Galen? Does it matter if you do nursing core classes with galen? I dont think they have the nlnac yet.. but if im working in the nursing field already does that matter? I would like some opinions please!! Im about to have 3 Cs so i dont think im getting into the spc program because cumulatively thats a 3.5... was anyone else in this situation???
