  1. Well there are 9 students in the facebook group so someone has to be slowly making calls ?
  2. I know several people that interviewed and none of them have heard anything as of right now
  3. The wait is literally starting to kill me. I thought I'd hear back sooner by interviewing on the first day ?
  4. Has anyone spoken to anyone else on the alternate list? Curious how many of us there are LOL
  5. University of California- San Diego Extension has a general chem course online that you can take without lab. I took it about a year ago. Not bad at all!
  6. I'm sure you did fantastic!! We were all being interviewed by different people so I'm sure all of our interviews went in a different direction
  7. The more time that goes on, the more I'm starting to second guess everything ?
  8. I had mine earlier as well! I feel pretty good about it. It was definitely short. I had about 30 seconds at the end to ask a question and the interview ended in the middle of their response to me LOL
  9. I know I few years ago their clinical sites were in AZ, CA, NM, OH, and then one in TX. Not sure if that has changed
  10. Same! I've had 1/4 picked out in my head for a few weeks now ?
  11. LevelOneRn, looks like we'll be interviewing together! I also picked 1/4 at 9am
  12. I still haven't seen anything about when to sign up for the interview. Does anyone know if they are still interviewing their usual 200 applicants?
  13. I got my rejection as well. Good luck everyone!
  14. I applied as well and haven't heard anything yet! Super anxious.
  15. You are going to be told by your professors that the books for their class are mandatory. It really just depends on if you will use your textbooks to study or not. I have made A's and B's on all exams so far and I do not own any of the textbooks. Depending on who your Health Assessment lab instructor is, the lab manual may be mandatory.
  16. You can buy the scrubs from the school or any uniform store. They just have to be navy blue. The patches can be bought at the bookstore. If you do buy textbooks, the bookstore will have all of those and they will price match with Amazon. You can buy your stethoscope there, but I ordered mine online. As far as the sim lab kit, yes you do have to buy one of those (sorry I forgot to mention that previously). It's referred to as a "black bag" and you will have to buy it from the bookstore for around $115. Shoes will kind of depend on what your clinical instructor prefers, but typically you are going to need a solid color shoe made of a non-porous material like leather. I bought black clogs from sketchers.
  17. I go to bed SUPER early. Anywhere from 8-10pm (10pm is the absolute latest for me). I always try to make sure I get a decent amount of sleep because I can't function otherwise. I did not buy any textbooks for this semester other than the newest edition of the "nursing diagnosis" book which helps a lot in clinical. I did have to buy my stethoscope which was around $100, my shoes for clinical $65, I bought two sets of scrubs used with the patches sewn on for $60, and other than that I've spent money on parking/gas. I suggest taking the Metro Park & Ride if possible. We don't really do a lot of work on the computer. As far as group work goes, the only group project I have done so far is my first care plan- that will depend on who you have for a clinical instructor though.
