  1. It'll be posted on banner under "nursing decisions" but, you can also check under "nursing requirements".
  2. Yes, to CCC. I honestly don't know how we were able to find out the exact date last year. I think a student was just lucky enough to find out and shared the info with us.
  3. Thinking of all of you this week! Sprinkling you with good luck dust!í ½í²– Ps. Yes, all schools find out on the same day! (Via blackboard). Remember to be checking under "Nursing Decisions". Also, ours were posted around 5am!
  4. Capital is a day program but you may get evening clinicals.
  5. I just wanted to stop by and wish everyone good luck!! I was in your position last year so I know that it can be a bit overwhelming but all you can do is keep trying your best, it will all be worth it! On a personal note, I HIGHLY recommend Capital's program!
  6. I took it this summer! I think that it really depends on the professor. So, do your research and ask around at your school as to who your fellow students recommend to take it with. It's definitely doable. I was really worried about it beforehand because I thought it was going to be a lot to jam into a summer. It's no where near as complex as AP (which I would NEVER recommend in the summer)
  7. @Akiinabe, the nursing kit does not have a stethescope in it. It only has the things we will need for lab. IV tubing, dressings, Foley catheter kits, saline, gloves, masks, etc. If you pm me, I'm happy to send you pictures!
  8. Thank you for the info! I bought mine from the CCC bookstore as well and noticed that there were two listed, so I wasn't sure which one we actually received. Should have just looked at my book! The PrepU is right there in the shrinkwrap.
  9. CCC students, does anyone know if our fundamentals book came with prepU?
  10. @Fauzia, no just to lab/clinicals
  11. My AP I grade was an A
  12. I'm like 80% convinced it's a good idea
  13. I know this might seem like a silly question... BUT! Is anyone thinking about getting a rolling backpack?
  14. @sam I'm CCC!! Congratulations classmate:)
  15. I'm hearing from fellow students that An advisor at capital community college ("in all the years he's been working there") said they've accepted at least up to #20 on the waitlist.
  16. A way to keep tabs on the wait list is to take a look at the NURS101 class at the college you were wait listed at and look at how many seats are remaining.
  17. Hahah! Always the case- sometimes if I know the shipping date for sure (like from prime) I ship it to work lol I was thinking rose gold at first. It I'm feeling like I'll eventually get sick of it so I'll probably go with silver too! You'll have to give me an update of how you like it!
  18. I was just at apple! Probably going to buy mine next week:)
  19. Good luck to everyone who was waitlisted! Loving the low numbers!! I'd agree with the person who said rule of thumb is 20.. give or take.
  20. Where do we get the patches from?
  21. The one you wanted!! Congrats girly!!í ½í±í ¼í¿¼í ½í¸
  22. I ordered mine yesterday:) What color did you end up getting? Scrub Wearhouse in rocky hill had a big selection!
  23. Anyone get a stethescope?
  24. Where did you find this info? I'm almost assuming we'll be finding this out at our orientation. (for CCC)
  25. Students accepted to CCC, I just talked to someone in admissions (as I was handing in my acceptance!!😬😃), the woman said to MAKE SURE you adhere to deadlines (May 1st is the first one). There is no flexibility, if you miss any of the deadlines, you are out of the program! On a side note, she said this is particularly true this year because two nursing faculty members retired last year so there is about 150 people on the waitlist! (Hear-say of course, I do not know this for sure).
