  1. Hi! I am in the midst of applications for residencies. UT Southwestern does their's pretty early and they have already gone through interviews, waiting to hear back from them on that and wasn't sure how long it would take to hear back (getting nervous, it has been 8 days). Haven't heard back yet from Medical City, JPS, or Baylor. Let me know if you have heard anything!
  2. If you are ready to graduate quickly and do not really care for breaks between semesters, I would go with the accelerated BSN option. However, from my understanding, non accelerated gives you a little more time to breath and gives you longer breaks, which is nice too. It really just depends what you prefer!
  3. How did you withdraw your acceptance? I am going to accept from another institution but want to do it as professionally as possible. Thanks!
  4. I interviewed at the Lubbock campus! My interview was this past Tuesday, October 11th.
  5. I did take my resume and letters of rec, I think it looks professional to take with you but they have access to your application so they did not ask to see it.
  6. Hey guys! I had my interview yesterday so just thought I would give y'all some feedback on what happened. Make sure to arrive early because you will be given a special project to complete. This entails getting a list of "assignments" and a class schedule, and they want you to write out these events on a calendar page they give you like you would in your planner or calendar. You are then asked to explain what you did with it when you get into your interview. Further, make sure to consider why you want to be a nurse, what a nurse's professional role is, a conflict you have had to deal with/how to deal with conflict, something that they would not know about you from your resume, and a mistake you made and how it was fixed. These were all things that they asked me and I would have liked to have known prior to the interview. I also saw some people asking if you could be accepted to Lubbock campus after being considered for Abilene, Odessa, etc. From what I have been told by other students (NOT confirmed by TTUHSC) is that to primarily be considered for Lubbock, you needed to decline the interview from the other campus and you would be put back in the Lubbock pool. However, they apparently save seats in those campuses for strong applicants in the Lubbock pool, so hopefully if you receive an interview you will receive a seat at one Tech campus. Hope this helps! Good luck to everyone!
  7. I had an interview Thursday, July 21st. They told me interview dates that were available at the time of my "interview acceptance" were through the 26th (I don't know what wave of interviews I was though). Definitely call!
