  1. Another great option for people getting tested is the website i used. LabReqs.com. I searched several options and they were the most affordable. MMR Titer I called and told them I was a student and they created a code for me and really were nice. I think they specialize in helping nursing students.
  2. I got a TB blood test because i kept forgetting to go back and get it read in Time. Cost ended up less for me. TB test for admin and reading at CVS was over 50 bucks and i had to get 2 of them. I ordered the TB blood Test online through Order any Lab Titers, Wellness Labs, STD test and more online. – LabReqs.com and cost for TB blood test was $129.00. C
  3. yes. it doesn't sound too stressful but also pay is lower which is understandable. i just want to know what other people have been paid and if they have received travel time or mileage since Id be driving my own car.
  4. Anyone else done a flu shot contract position. What is the pay? What about drive time and travel time. I need the money but I think what i'm being offered is a little low. The company seems great and said that its standard to pay less than other RN gigs.
  5. This is the problem i had with Health department has very limited hours that they offer the services and from talking to others i heard its not a fun process.
  6. Udate: I received my results this morning within 24 hours from Labreqs.com. I'm so glad because until i got the lab orders and talked to them, i thought it might be a scam. Too good to be true plus I had never heard of ordering blood test online. The school does provide a tb test but I did have to get an MMR titer. When I ordered it through Labreqs.com, I got an email letting me know they would just add it to my previous order. Since it uses the test us the same collection tube, i wouldn't have to get blood drawn again. Lowest Price and i don't have to make a special trip to get blood drawn again, i'm a huge fan now. I emailed them to see i could share the code and they it would be ok to share also long I provided a positive reviews of their company. Saves 16% so every bit helps. Code "nurse2016" .
  7. Thanks for all the help everyone. I do have Insurance but getting a doctor's appointment takes too long and I only have 2 weeks to get these records in. I also have a copay and a deductible. Does anyone know if insurance covers titers? For the person that suggested Any Lab Test, I did call but they were expensive and far away. I almost used them till I found someone else. I found a company online called Labreqs.com that had really good prices. I was worried if it was legit or not. (anyone else use them?) I paid them with my paypal account because I knew I could always dispute charges if it was a scam. Paypal is awesome about fighting fraud. Also I didn't want to give my debit card number and credit cards are maxed. :) I placed the order and got an emailed lab order in about 15 minutes. I did call the people at Labreqs.com to tell them I'm a broke student. They did give me a discount code to use, nurse2016. With the code My Hep b titer & Varicella titer cost only $80. Don't know if it will work for everyone but it did for me and a classmate. We both got 16% off. With their email, I went to a Labcorp and got blood work done today with no problems. Labreqs said it only take 48 hours for results. We will see. I hope others aren't in the same boat as me financially and needing blood work. I'm praying that i can get my MMR records and don't need a TB blood test. If I have to I'll use this company again as long as I get my results. Even if I have to get the other test there is so much less stress, getting everything for about $250 compared $750-850. Now I can go buy a bottle of wine and enjoy my Friday night. :)
  8. I have to get a hep b, Varicella and TB blood test. Maybe have to get a MMR unless by records are accepted. Any advice on how i can do this without spending too much. I called around and since i don't have insurance its close to $750.00. I can't afford this right now. Anyone else had to deal with this as well?
  9. So true.. "I am going to make one slight edit to your title. "A 10 year old boy died, and your CPR didn't reverse that."
