  1. I studied Liek & FNP Mastery app. you can access this on your phone and desktop. I took the ANCC FNP exam twice. The first time I had a family emergency and proceeded with my test. I should have canceled. This occurred in October 2016. I waited until after the holidays and began studying again after the new year. I did not do any intense studying. I went over Liek and glanced through my Holier review book. I purchased the FNP Mastery app and did these questions every day up until the day before the exam. I felt like this was the best app. The Liek app did not go into all the details on the nonclinical portion like FNP Mastery. I took the test on Feb 4, 2017. I went in with a clear mind and finished the test in 3.5 hrs. I did not take any bathroom breaks just sat at my station and closed my eyes for a moment. I marked 10 questions total, but didn't change any of my answers. The test was not too bad just long. Take your time and read through each question. You can do this. Good Luck!!!
  2. Congratulations!!!! I am so happy to be done with boards.
  3. Hi CLB_81, Did you ever pass the AANP exam? I opted not to take this exam and eventually took the ANCC Family exam and passed. I have a friend who's struggling to pass the AANP-Family exam. Do you have a study plan?
  4. Hi BKK10, Try the FNP Mastery app. You can also use the app on your desk top at app.fnpmatsery.com I feel like these questions helped sooooo much. Good luck!
  5. I agree the FNP Mastery was the best!
  6. Hi SRRS, I just took and passed the ANCC today. My review materials were Liek & FNP Mastey app. I listened to fitxgerald cds in the car and substitutted up to date guidelines from the review book I had from Hollier. The FNP Mastery was the best! The exam was too bad. Make sure you use the highlight and strike out options. Good luck to you!!
  7. Thank you so much! Do you remember how you scored on board vitals? My scores are all over the place, mostly 60's-low 80's. Thank you again for your feedback.
  8. No, the ANCC pink book is a two-volume review manual titled "Family Nurse Practitioner" volume 1. I only purchased the first volume based on reviews from allnurses and amazon. The first 4 chapters focuses on the non-clinical portion of the ANCC exam. Are you retaking the ANCC or sitting for AANP?
  9. Hi gdb,BSN,MSN, I am very sorry about you not passing. I most certainly understand how you feel and what you are going through. I failed the AANP twice. I though I studied hard and felt well prepared on the second try, but I think I may have misread questions. I finished the test early. I am now preparing for the ANCC exam. I am using the ANCC yellow book which is really a pink book, Liek, Board Vitals and Hollier QBank. Board Vitals is very tough, but they have a lot of the "nonclinical" questions which may help on the exam. I am praying and trying to hold it together. The non clinical questions scare me and there is really no information out here from nurses who took the ANCC exam within the past few months. I have tried posting several times w/o feedback. I recently graduated in August and the majority of my classmates have passed the boards (AANP) so I understand where you are coming from. Please let me know of this helps. #stayfocused
  10. I am preparing for the ANCC exam using board vitals. These questions are very challenging and really long. My scores are all over the place 50's-80's not sure if this is enough. I especially like the questions for the nonclinical portion. I need to brush up on research:o
  11. Good luck to you Awsellers22 I'm planning to sit this month as well. Happy thoughts!
  12. Hey jw1234, Did you ever pass? I'm planning on testing some time this month. I have been using board vitals, like & holier q bank. Not sure if this is enough. Board vitals is tough.
  13. Hi rninme,MSN,APRN, Did you find board vitals to help with the nonclinical portions of the exam? These questions are really difficult. My scores are all over the place with these questions, 50's-80's. I have been doing like and holler q bank. Is this enough?
  14. nursejanz thank you for your post. I failed AANP and now studying for the ANCC. People have told me if you fail the AANP you will not be successful on the ANCC. My mind is racing. My score on AANP was 472. I thought I new it all, but I flew through the test because I was so nervous. My study materials were Liek and some of holler. I have now purchased a Qbank from holler and one from Board Vitals. I am losing confidence with board vitals. These questions are very challenging. Can you or anyone who have taken the ANCC 2016 tell me if these questions are like board vitals:arghh: I'm freaking out here. Thank you for your help. trying very hard to stay focused and not lose confidence
  15. Hi Luck4, Did you use any of the qbank online questions? I just purchased board vitals and these questions are making me lose all the confidence I had. Thanks!
