  1. Dear Any and All Nurse Experts With More Information Than I, I am going into my senior year of nursing school and am already feeling a ridiculous amount of stress about finding a job after graduation...type A I know (honestly, what nursing major isn't??). I am from the San Diego area but attend a four year university in New England; however, with family in CA I am hoping to find a job in the Southern California area after graduation. I was hoping to get some insight on when to start applying for positions. I have heard many different theories on applying either before or after passing the NCLEX and would like to get some more opinions on which practice is best. I was considering spending the month of January in the SoCal area in hopes of applying in person. Any thoughts on this?? Additionally, are there any recommended hospitals in the area that accept new grads? My hope is to eventually work in L&D; however, would like to get a few years of medsurg experience before this. Signed, Having a Mid(wife) Crisis at 21.
