  1. Those that have gotten in, I'm curious if anyone knows if there are any classes you can take to replace the lower grades prereq wise. I'm stuck with a couple of lower grades from when I screwed around my first year of college back in 2009. My college algebra is already an A, so I don't need to replace that one. Thanks to anyone who sees and responds!
  2. LMU isn't a private school, but without financial aid it will still be pricey. This seems to just be a satellite opportunity with LMU, with it being hosted at Florida hospital. I've read great things about the nursing program that is actually at LMU, including having the highest NCLEX scores in the state. So fingers crossed. I got my acceptance letter in the mail today.
  3. Awesome! I'm curious to hear of anyone's experience doing the program at FL Hospital! Good luck with everything!
  4. I should specify ASN for Spring 2018
  5. Thought I'd post here and see if anyone else is applying for the ASN through LMU/Caylor at Florida Hospital in Tampa? Everything has been submitted waiting to see if I was accepted or not. I'm local ish, over in a Riverview.
  6. I sent a request! My name is Desirae.
  7. At least I'm not alone, I guess, haha. This whole process is so stressful. I wish they would send out communications of some sort instead of refusing to give any info after the stupid deadline.
  8. I wonder why they don't do some sort of electronic application, I feel like it wouldn't take as long to weed through applications, check prereqs, etc. I mean its 2017, get it together HCC
  9. Just in case, I reached out via email and was given another email to contact regarding my application. Just for peace of mind :)
  10. I was going to wait until Monday to call, since today would be three weeks from when I sent it in. I mean I don't know how they could NOT have it, I dropped it off at the DM campus, so it didn't get lost in the mail. I'm thinking there were just so many applicants. Who knows how many more people dropped off after me, or during the weekend that got piled on top of mine. I'm just being impatient.
  11. Fingers crossed, nothing as of this morning. I'm acting like this determines if I get in or not, LOL, but I really just want to know they got it. I dropped it off at DM.
  12. I dropped mine off last minute on Friday May 12th. So I am hoping they just haven't gotten to me yet!
  13. Still waiting over here. When did you submit your application - if you don't mind me asking?
  14. Luckily I have this all done already since I am doing a Medical Assistant program over the summer! :) FYI for those who may not have grown up in Florida/ have access to their shot records, get titers done/ask your provider about titers instead of having to get revaccinated for anything you may not need.
  15. Ugh getting super anxious. Still nothing under my documents.
  16. Labor and delivery has always interested me as well!
  17. I work for an OB/GYN company now, and have for about 3 years, just not clinical. I'm torn, because the ins and outs of OB-GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine, so I am leaning in that direction. But I have also considered working under a transplant doc of some sort, my son is a heart transplant, so that has always been close to my heart.
  18. Ohhhh I see what you mean. I'm an L then hahah.
  19. My maiden name starts with an R, do they go down the list by maiden name?
  20. Oh good, at least I'm not alone in the last minute crowd
  21. Still waiting on mine as well, but I took mine in pretty last minute, the Friday before it was due LOL.
  22. As far as a back up plan, I am also getting my CCMA over the summer. I work for a nurse and she encouraged me to do it. I start on Tuesday. So if for some reason I don't get in this fall, I will at least have a CCMA under my belt and can work in a clinical environment for decent pay, as well as gaining the clinical experience. On top of that, over the summer I am taking a couple of classes to finish my AA, wish me luck, I will have a super heavy load over the summer While trying to work, build a house, care for my family, etc. Send me some sanity
  23. We are building in Riverview, 301/Big Bend area. So I am also in the Riverview area! I'm glad there are so many of us. Even if we aren't at the same location/same class, good to know there are people to study with!
  24. I work PRN for Women's Care Florida, you guys let me know if you are working for flexible work! I basically make my own schedule, it is so nice. And I have my foot in the door in a clinical setting. So I will be working during non school hours, as much as I can. The pay is not too shabby, either. More than a typical front desk person in a doc office!
