  1. Yay, our uniforms are ready! I was unsure about the Taylor textbook VS Coursepoint, as well. I may get the textbook and then I think we can buy the extra coursepoint material separately if we need it. Anyone else know? I need to buy the ATI thing, too. I was trying to wait until Blackboard had our syllabus info up.
  2. I got an email from my professor that said to buy the Taylor textbook, Docucare 2yr access, and a drug reference book; and wait until the first day of class before you buy anything else. The bookstore is putting a bundle together for those three things at some point. I don't know if that is different for other professors though.
  3. I got assigned Sibley! Anyone know anything about Sibley? For registration day: First, she went over info about the nursing classes. Then, a representative for textbooks gave us information about how to get the textbooks direct for a cheaper price. After that, we got to see the uniform people. At the end, we got our clinical and CRN #'s and tried on uniforms. The tunic top is nice!
  4. I know, I can't wait! We are so close to registration and clinical assignments!
  5. I'm getting excited now! I have everything uploaded on CB. We don't need to do anything with the OSHA/Infection requirement yet right?
  6. I saw it. I actually kind of like the surprise.
  7. I see my doctor in 2 weeks to get titers and flu shot. Are you guys getting your books via Amazon or the bookstore? And do you think it's better to do ebooks or hard copy?
  8. I'm in too!! They called me. Apparently, my letter got sent back to them by the post office.
  9. I applied as a transfer for Spring. I took Microbiology over the Summer at a community college to get myself back in school mode, but I've been out of school for almost 10 years. I'm hoping to get in the first review but I'm not sure that my schools sent transcripts in time (one of them is notoriously slow.) I was actually accepted to Marymount years ago as an Interior Design Student transfer but didn't end up going b/c it was a lot to spend on something I wasn't 100% positive I wanted. Funny, now I'm applying to the nursing program. I took the TEAS in June, and I'm glad I studied for it. You'll be in good shape for it if you've been in school recently. Fingers crossed we get accepted :)
  10. I have my annual physical in October/November, so I will probably get titers drawn and a flu shot then. I have an up-to-date tdap (2013) so I should just need titers and a flu shot. (Which I'm a bit nervous about because I had a reaction to it a few years back and haven't gotten one since). I had to get this all done when I worked for a hospital so I'm assuming all my titers will come back strong and I'll just need a flu shot :) I already have my BLS for Healthcare providers, too. (This is all assuming I get in ) I think we need: MMR, Hepetitis B, Flu Shot, TDap, Varicella...not sure if I'm missing anything here, but I did check the list to my medical record and should be good.
  11. I have my Teas done :) I got a 76%, so it certainly wasn't brilliant (the math section was rough for me). October does seem so far away, but hopefully it will go by quickly. Fingers crossed
  12. I am applying, as well. Just waiting on my last transcript to send in the application. I am a little nervous though, because my A & P 1 is over five years old (I am retaking it in the fall.)
