She told me during the interview it could be a few days. They hope Friday but could be as late as Tuesday, they also addressed that in the YouTube video when we can expect to hear back.

I interview on the 11th so perhaps they are waiting to evaluate all the candidates. What did you guys use to prepare for you for the interview?

What is the skills kit? Is that the books we need or where do we get the skills kit from and how much does it cost?

Did anyone get their schedule and their clinical site is not listed? Did anyone get a shift they didn't want? Does anyone know if you have the option to switch either now if after the first semester? I was given days and really wanted nights

13 more days!!! The suspense is killing me. I don't really have a preference for day or evening. There are benefits to both. Obviously evening will graduate sooner thus get us back to work sooner. However I want to be able to do my best, and for me, I think a break would be beneficial so that I am not burned out. Also, I could probably keep my job a little longer being in the evening program. The drawback is I would need a babysitter more frequently with eves and I will never see my 6 year old. Days would be better for my schedule/family/school balance, but my job may not be willing to work with my schedule. I'll take whatever I can get. I just hope i get a seat in the program. If given a choice I might choose days.

Hi Paige, I have a question. I am curious about the schedule. Are you in the day or evening program? What is your schedule like with clinicals and everything. I know they said you have to be available for 6am-3pm but are you always in class or in clinicals the entire time? Any insight into the schedule would be helpful. Thanks!

Well guys officially 3 weeks, 21 days, 508 hours until we know, but whose counting, lol. I am super anxious so sending everyone positive vibes.

Hi TangoFoxTrot Can you believe it is 37 more days until we know? To answer your question I am in the exact same boat as you. I have no prior healthcare experience working with patients. I currently work a 8-5 job as a healthcare recruiter and I don't know if my employer will be willing to work with my schedule once school starts. Since the bills don't stop coming I do plan to try to work through my first semester and then play the rest of the program by ear if will be working. I have been saving money to live on while in school. I work with nurses daily and some say that it is possible and others recommend you don't work. I have a kid and just bought a house so if I can work I will, but I prepared a nest egg just in case I cannot work because doing well in the program is of the utmost importance to me. Just decide what works best for your situation. Good luck!

This is an old thread but I'm in a sinister situation. What ever happened? Did you get a nursing position and how has it been for you years later?

That was his program GPA. I think someone ended up not going at the very last minute and that's how he got in. So like someone mentioned earlier just depends on the applicant pool. A lot of people might also apply to other programs. I have a 3.67 so I'm extremely anxious.
