  1. Ckuete, you can definitely find plenty of apartments on Craigslist- Westchester. The downside is everything is pretty pricey. If you are going to spend the money though, I would find a place in new rochelle, mamaroneck, larchmont, eastchester. I would try to stay as close as possible to new rochelle because traffic at rush hour on i95 or the hutch can be awful. I live about 45 minutes north of new rochelle. I was considering looking for an apartment but I'm going to see how commuting is the first semester and maybe after that consider a place for the rest of the program.
  2. Also- I am going to advisement day on May 15 from 10-12. When is everyone else going? I wonder if this is a group session or everyone has their own personal session?
  3. Miszz_k, I don't think you can take a class that combines BLS and adult/pediatric CPR/AED. I remember reading from an e-mail that Ms. Bimbo sent that you have to take two separate classes. I e-mailed copies of my card to her to verify that I took the right class. She really is so helpful and great to work with. If you haven't spoken with her yet shoot her an email.
  4. What is everyone's plan for living arrangements? I want to maybe take out extra money in my loans so move down near the school but I'm not sure if that's a smart move with undergrad loans and now more on top of that. I don't know if wasting all that time everyday commuting is a bad idea when that time could better be spent studying.
  5. Raspberry, thank you for that post. You made me a little less nervous about CNR after reading some of the other posts. I know it was mentioned earlier about where the clinical can be. Where have you done clinicals specifically?
  6. Thanks for all the info! I got an email today about orientation and an advisement session.
  7. Do you suggest a mac or pc for these classes?
  8. I spoke to Ms. Bimbo about that. CNR got a very large grant and decided to revamp the nursing program to make it more competitive with other programs in the area. She said she believes it will be accepted by the state and the program should start on time.
  9. I had actually sent the official transcripts in about a month ago so she's had those and the day I was going to submit my application online it went down. So I've been waiting for it to go back up. I sent my letters of recommendations in a couple of days ago. I would give her a call. She's very nice. Just ask if she got them yet and when you can expect to hear.
  10. Congrats on your acceptance! I actually ended up hearing from Ms. Bimbo a little bit after I posted this morning saying I got accepted. I put my deposit down and she said I will get a package in the mail soon.
  11. I just submitted my application the beginning of this week. Now that the application is back up how long do you think it will take to hear from them? For those that applied early- Did you have an interview, or an exterance exam of some kind? And how long before after you submitted your application did you get accepted?
  12. My interview isn't until 11/7 unfortunately. The waiting is killing me.
  13. Thanks for the info, Vannie! Good luck, hope you have some good news soon! :)
  14. I was answering your question, Diva. My application was in review for a while so I went into my junk mail and found an email I somehow missed about scheduling an interview.
  15. I had the same thing so I went back in my email and saw one that I somehow missed. I think it went into my spam folder. Give them a call and ask.
