  1. I went to Miami-Dade College yesterday to ask about retaking some classes because when I originally attended five years ago, I didn't take college seriously and was going through a lot of personal things. I ended up with Cs in my Anatomy classes and labs and in my math classes. At the time I had no aspirations of becoming a nurse or doing anything medical and I don't want my mistake from so long ago to affect me so harshly now. The adviser told me that Florida law forbids anyone who got a C or better in a class to retake it for a better grade. Is this true? I remember hearing different things from my friends when they were in college. Is there any possible way you guys know of that I could retake these classes? For example, a friend told me it might be possible to attend a private college for a semester, retake the classes and send them to MDC? Thanks for any advice (:
