Sorry I so rarely check all nurses! Yes, every student in my cohort was able to get enough loans to cover their tuition. I actually had to move as well so I was able to get enough loans to cover my tuition and expenses through financial aid. They highly recommend not working. I also recommend not working, but there are two people in my cohort working twice a week. It is doable, but it will leave you very tired. For the first semester, we are in class/lab Monday (varies from 2 hr to 8hr depending on what we do that day), Wednesday (7hr), and Thursday (5-6 hr). Friday is our clinical day for 12 hours. However, after this semester we will have classes or clinicals everyday. So enjoy that tuesday off!

Yes! It's Becoming Bri Im still first semester so I don't have a whole lot on it yet but I do plan on posting tips or cool things I come across as I go and also a summary of each semester and possibly any tips I have that I wish I had known starting í ½í¸Š Feel free to ask any questions!

I had the same problem finding reviews so I made a blog as a reference for future students. I'm loving it so far! I plan on doing a semester recap at the end and posting it. They only briefly go over the post licensure (NP) part of the program in the beginning. A lot can change in 16 months before you start working on the NP portion so I'm not too sure what all of your options are. However, specialties for NPs are still relatively knew and therefore hard to find programs for. One of the 3rd semester students told me that if you want to specialize an option is doing FNP then finding an NP or MD in the specialty you want to work in. Apply there and let them know you would pretty want to work as a mentee to gain experience... Almost like a residency. She said that's pretty common for cardio/surgery NPs atleast in the so cal area. Yes! I have received multiple emails including a list of everything that needs to be done before classes start and when orientation is. You should contact the Elmsn department for whichever location you were accepted to so you can make sure you're included on the mailing list.

Refreshing my email... still haven't hear back! I'm sorry about the news. I applied to Samuel merritt (waitlisted) and Azusa pacific university in addition to USF.

I'm not in school now either! Which makes the days go by so much longer as I wait to hear back. I've been hiking, enjoying time with loved ones, and working. I'm trying to make the most of my freedom since once the program starts I will be to busy to socialize.... if I even get in! I've been keeping on eye on the rent/apts available in SF just in case I need to move lat minute. I don't live too far (Sacramento) to commute but being closer would be nicer. Does anyone know anything about the on-campus graduate housing? Good? bad? clean?

Has anyone heard back yet? The anticipation is killing me. We should be hearing sometime in October right?

I would be patient and optimistic! It sounds like they are still trying to make a decision on your application which means you could still get admitted!
