I called & asked if I was supposed to include an expungement & they said that they can't answer that question & that I just have to wait until I hear something from the Board
Thanks for the advice. I'm in NJ. That's what I was planning on doing 1st thing Monday morning. I'm just a little nervous since I'm reading all of these horror stories about them denying licenses in similar situations for falsifying an application but I really didn't know they wanted that information to be included. But I guess the best way for me to find out is when I contact them. Thanks again!
I wish my states application was that specific. It didn't mention anything about Expungements, & if it did I would've known to include it. However, it asked to disclose anything on your record, & since I thought Expungements were off record, I checked the "No" box under criminal background. I thought that was the whole point of Expungements.
I recently submitted my application for my RN license & checked off "No" under the criminal history section bcuz I have an expunged misdemeanor from 10 yrs ago & was under the belief that I didn't need to disclose that info. Now I'm reading situations where it says that information like that needs to be disclosed & that I may be denied my license for falsification. I honestly didn't know that I had to disclose an expunged history & now I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone ever been in a situation like this before?
