  1. Hi all! This is my first time posting, but I've been an active reader for quite some time. I will be applying to second degree accelerated BSN programs this fall and recently inquired with Johns Hopkins. Unfortunately, they no longer have a 13 month BSN program. They now offer a direct entry MSN nurse generalist program with a duration of 22 months. My question is, what are the career options for a nurse generalist with an MSN (not an NP)? Also, is the extra schooling worth it just for a master's degree? My overall plan is to become an RN or NP, and then go back to school to become a CRNA. Would an MSN have any benefit for me? Thank you all!!! :)
