  1. Oh my Goodness! Congratulations passing! This gave me so much inspiration for my next try and I can relate with your story since I am a mother as well and out of school since 2016 and still trying to pass NCLEX. Thank you for the empowering words and good luck on your new journey RN!
  2. Hello there! I will be re-taking NCLEX-RN in March 2018. I had Uworld for a while and have an overall of 54% also have Kaplan Qbank and been scoring between high and low 50's. I just wanted to know if I should keep working for a higher score or if someone has passed Nclex with those scores? I have been reading and reviewing rationales. I believe I have learned a lot since the last time I took the test (near the passing standard in all areas). I just wanted to get more insight from you guys or what helped you with sata questions, or reviewing in general. Thank you in advanced!
  3. Thank you so much for all the tips! I have seen picmonic and now im conviced to invest in that. I will definitely take more rest time in between. I was very tired the whole time and maybe that was a factor. Thank you for all the advice I will definitely put it into practice! Bless!
  4. Hello! I was ranking around 50's-60's and sometimes 70's. I have a 4 year old with me at home so in terms of hours of study I spent 4 hours in the morning and then 2 hours with breaks to take care of the little one, and did night reading. I studied for 5 days a week and sometimes saturday. And now that you mention it, I do feel a struggle with the medications, i get them confused. Some diseases give me a hard time as well because of the similarity in s & s. I guess thats what I think im lacking. Also when I took NCLEX, the question answers where soo tricky that I just wasn't 100% sure which one to pick, i ended up torned between two options every single time haha. But yes thats about it... thank you for your reply!
  5. Thank you so much for your reply quiltynurse56. I will do so! Bless!
  6. Hello everyone: I decided to share my NCLEX experience with you and maybe vent a little bit from the whole experience, which was a very difficult one for me. A little bit about me, I am a Hispanic Nurse graduate that moved to the states and found out that my next step was NCLEX (which is very different from the preparation that was given to me in School for the boards of my country Puerto Rico) either way I decided to go for it but the first time I did horribly bad, my test finished in 75 questions and I did not felt prepared at all. After that I put myself together and decided to study hard and cover everything that my school did not cover or what I did not understood well. I took 4 months to study I used Uworld, and read the fundamentals section from Saunders book. After those months I felt I had a good shot at passing and went in there and took the Test. I was at the center for the whole 6 hours took breaks, breath and I believe did try my hardest.... But unfortunately I failed again and when I received my results all the areas where Near the passing standard. Its been 2 weeks since my test and I feel confused kind of depressed but hopeful. I am just not sure what to incorporate this time or how to do things differently. I am not trying to come here and complain I'm just venting with y'all and seeking guidance on how I can change the strategy and see if finally I can pass this test. I really put my heart to it and I felt so disappointed when I saw my results. Also the Nevada board has a limit of 4 times to take NCLEX and that has me a little anxious, I really do not want to keep failing. So if any of you have any suggestions or advice for me I would really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. Have a blessed weekend y'all and thank you in advanced!

  12. Hello mates! I was just wondering what helped you to pass nclex? I am an extreme visual learner and for now im using uworld, saunders nclex-rn book and prioritization delegation and assignment. But i really want to invest in a prep course again because i believe i need a little coaching and be able to clarify doubts etc. So any good prep course that you guys recommend? Oh.. And kaplan did not work for me im not sure why.
  13. Thank you very much ladies! I really appreciate the help I will definitely look into the Hispanic Nurses Association! Thanks again girls!!!!
  14. Hi!!!,, Thank you for the advice i appreciate it. Yes i will stick with Uworld i really like the rationales helps me understand better. I will try again, it is just too much to handle at first but at least all of you guys have been really nice and gave me a boost of motivation to keep going. I will try the trick that helped you for sure. Thank you
  15. Thank you very much. Hopefully next time I pass God willing! Have a nice day!
  16. Well to be honest that day I was just in blanck not quite sure if it was test anxiety. But most of the questions where really confusing and some diseases i didnt know about. So im not sure if is my lack of content knowledge or what it was. I just need to change my strategy I guess, maybe look for a good prep course or something :/. Thank you for being so kind and giving me hopes! have a nice day!
  17. I really appreciate your support guys. I am feeling miserable in a time like this so reading your advice makes me feel better than before.
  18. Hello, I am here to vent since I moved from Puerto Rico to Las vegas and have nobody to vent with that can understand my situation. I recently took the NCLEX-RN and failed. I feel really devastated and wanting to give up (which I know i shouldn't give up) but that's the feeling i have right now. I graduated from Puerto Rico and felt like the school didn't teached me as much as I needed so everything I learned recently is because I knew i was very behind and started hitting the books. I purchased the kaplan prep course which was very expensive and even though it helped me with strategies, I didn't quite liked the question trainers etc. Two weeks ago I purchased Uworld which I liked a lot. Im not sure if its a language barrier or lack of knowledge what is keeping me from passing but I would really appreciate someone to give me advice on any other course prep or books that I can use for this time. Please I'm just seeking guidance and advice, no rude comments please. Thank you.
  19. Thank you so much! I was doing the qbank trial for Uworld and i really like it! Im going to add this one most definitely. I like the rationales. God bless! Thanks for the advice.
  20. Thank you very much for the tip. I will go now and check Uworld website. I am doing kaplan but for some reason I think they are more difficult than other questions ive done. But its been helpful so far. I am definitely checking uworld thank you so much!
  21. Hello: My name is yadira. I am just writing/seeking support or advice. In July 23d I take the NCLEX RN. I graduated from Puerto Rico. I am just very worried and anxious and wanted a few tips from people who already took the NCLEX or are about to.I already been studying/ doing questions etc. I feel like is a lot of content which doesn't bother me that much but I don't want to cram either in the short amount of time. Also I would like to know what topics are a must know. I know that everybody gets tested differently but im just looking for advice and tips. Knowing that the test is in a few weeks got me really anxious and worried I really need to pass this test for myself and for my child, and maybe that's whats getting me a little bit scared knowing that this test depends everything else. I would really appreciate recommendations. Thanks everybody!!
