Hello all, I was looking for yalls recommendations when it comes to reviewing healthcare content for your own knowledge. I am a fairly new nurse (<1 year since passing NCLEX). I like to make a list of stuff thats new to me or stuff I just need review after I work a shift. I utilize Youtube, Google of course, and am looking for any other good resources. I was considering a nursing skills book to have on hand just for an extra resource. I would also love a good podcast that I can play in my car when I drive around. Things I want to be able to review is labs, procedures, diseases I'm not familiar with, time management. etc. Thank you all in advance!

New grad here, when a patient goes to diaylsis and they are a diabetic, should you hold insulin till they get back if they wont eat till they return? I think im just overthinking this. Thanks!

Hello everyone, i am a newer nurse (Passed boards last September) and i work on a med-surg floor. We have alot of patients who get midlines and i was wondering why do we need nephrology to sign off on that patient getting a midline, along with the attending, before they get it? I understand the difference between a midline and a regular peripheral iv, but i think i am just overthinking this. Thanks!

I think it just depends on how they decided to do them this year. From what I've read in previous years, they have done one set of interviews some years or two rounds of interviews. I think it may depend on how many show up.

Maybe we will be in the same group!

I applied for Fall 2017. I sure hope we found out soon! My lease is up in July and we have to give a 2 month notice....hoping and praying we found out soon.
