  1. Gardenwalla is talking reality- the real world. And I was never told this in the interview (the interviewing manager didn't even know this Dr stays over 3 times a week), why deal with it?
  2. Thanks everyone! I am not trying to get over on you.pf course there is so much I could type about the situation (such a absolutely no orientation). Just beachy nurse works at a similar institution.
  3. THANK YOU!! This is what I was looking for. This hospital is closer to ours (except the eye clinic)and this is what they need
  4. That is why I have a problem with leaving for the day, if something does happen, the money people will worry about money and not me
  5. Pt safety is most important. But after that: it is bad that Manager, HR cannot figure out pt related matters, why are medical staff there? For the Patients!!! Money people need to be off campus figuring out the money, let the medical people do their jobs with the right staffing
  6. I am not working while they figure it out!!! And it's been a month - that's how complex this is to them
  7. Yes, you are right. HR doesn't seem to know, charge nurse is off site , that's what I'm saying, it is a clown show
  8. Thanks. This is a sensible post. I am currently yltrying to get this worked out
  9. The surgeon is ocular plastics, not glasses or contacts or cataracts. Pts wait everywhere, that may be why the other clinics keep a nurse there
  10. There always nurses there. It is a giant giant place
  11. They may have been to internal.med clinic, med special clinic and then wait 5 hours at eye clinic. You just never know
  12. When elderly patients wait 5 hours to be seen, and when they finally get to he exam room they could be hungry, tired or.many things ( and like I said, our hospital has pts that may have things going on with them, sick).
  13. By the way, the garages are in hospitals grounds and ran by the hospital ( no parking services)
  14. We have had codes in the garage , maybe the Hosp is.not responsible (maybe they are) but they do it and that is why I think a nurse should be with the eye Dr.
  15. When pts are in our grounds, we are responsible, atter how they got there and yes, even the parking garage. We have had codes in cars before
  16. This particular eye surgeon gets all pts from other institutions that have messed up
  17. Also. This is a specialty learning hospital. When other doctors mess up patients come here to get it right. These patents can be very very bad off
  18. When I worked in pre op clinic we had to stay. When I was in urology we had to stay. When I was in general pediatrics we had to stay. Where these just better clinics?
  19. Why do other clinics s have closers?maybe becUe they actually are good clinics? It sounds.to me like people on here are clinic nurses ans are afraid to have to stay over . Let's get rid of the overtime save the hospital millions. All other clinics have to stay because safety is the key factor. I was just wanting advice, and good advice. Bye everyone
  20. I have not been told by the Doctor--and , as you have read-- "I HAVE NOT TALKED TO ANY MEDICAL PEOPLE!!!" the manager and the like have never had a medical person in the many meetings. The Charge Nurse has never came to the meetings!!!
  21. Alison, sounds good, but why doesn't the nurse tell me this and not a non medical person? Should you trust this situation? The manager (a money man) is clueless and didn't even know this Dr stayed over this much
  22. This is the kind of clownshow management is. Should I trust them?
  23. Why would I be doubtful? Remember at the interview the interview they said clinic hours I would have to stay over once in a while, then after I brought up the doctor staying late 3 days a week late (the manager was clueless about this) they (the non medical people) said I should leave when I was ready, this doesn't make sense!! If a patient does get injured will they throw me under the bus?
