  1. Hello, I just submitted my application to Athabasca for the NP program to start in Fall 2018. I was just wondering if anyone will start there soon, is in the program, has done the program, etc? What do you think of it? Why did you choose AU? Just hoping to meet some other NP hopefuls! Cheers, Grace
  2. I have not. I am waiting on my husband as we will swing this move on his job. Once he gets a job permit, I intend on applying for a spousal permit and then nursing license. We're OK if he works first and I look for work once we get there. Do you know if there is anything similar to "casual" nursing in Ireland?
  3. Hello, My name is Grace. I am a registered nurse in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I am experienced in acute surgical wards and an outpatient clinic. We are looking to move to Dublin in late 2016/early 2017. I was wondering, for the positions in Ireland, does "casual" type nursing exist? In Canada, we have full time, part time and casual. Casual nurses can pick up as many or little shifts they desire in a given area. They are usually offered more flexibility but less benefits. Does this level of nursing exist? That said, do any of your hospitals in particular offer this? I am willing to work close to full time hours but would like the opportunity to choose specific days to accommodate my family. Thank you for your information. Regards Grace
