  1. Im thinking about appyling as an advanced placement since I am an LVN, I wanted to know if anyone else has done this, and how was their application experience. Im open to hear anything for any program you guys have chosen. Also is there a certain science GPA you need to have, or a certain amount of time like within 5 yrs or 10 yrs etc. My Anatomy class is coming up on 5 yrs before a lot of schools dont count it. Any information will help.
  2. Oh man I took mine in Spring 2005 how long will they be considered good?
  3. whats the time limit 5 yrs or 7 yrs? Yeah mine is getting close to the 5 yrs mark!It makes me nervous to think i may have to retake any science classes!
  4. How difficult was it to get into the nursing transition course? When did you register for the class?
  5. How long if you have all your prerequisite classes done, does the LVN-RN bridge program take? Thanks!
  6. Thank you lpnkc09. Thats great to know, I would still have to get the LPN for the program i assume, so I will have to get started on that in about 4-5 months when I find out if we are transferring there. I hope We do because the schools in CA are just so darn ridiculous to get into.
  7. How did you guys do in the nursing transition class? Also any of you have Marine Husbands that was relocated to South Carolina? I was wondering the steps you took for getting an LPN license, or if you even had to because you are a military spouse. Thanks!
  8. Thank you so much thats great to know!
  9. Do you have to have working experience as an LPN before you can apply to the program? Or will the clinical experience you do in an LVN program work? Thanks!
  10. Hey everyone, I was wondering is the Nursing 201- transitional LVN-RN class online or in class?
  11. Yeah it sounds like a great schedule!
  12. alright do you know what time frame they all are? The schedule sounds great! I am going to hopefully try for the Spring 2011 Class, my husband may get relocated there with being in the military and all
  13. What is the Schedule like at TCL for the last 2 semesters. Trying to figure out times, and possible daycare information! Thanks :)
  14. Thank you so much! It helps a ton :) I was trying to get a more straight answer from the guy, but he just said M-F from 8-530. How do you like the program?
  15. Its been a little while but I retook the wonderlic and scored a 31. I am taking the TEAS on the 19th, any tips you can give me? Also if anyone is in the program, what are the hours? I know its M-F but is it from 8-3 or 8-5 etc. I was told to prepare for 8-5 but I wanted to know what your guys experience has been with the hours. Im trying to come up with a possible daycare plan, if I need to.
  16. For all of you attending Kaplan, what is your schedule? What days, and what times?! Also I was wondering on the different hospitals they have contracts with. Thanks! I am taking the TEAS test on the 19th of sept. if you have any tips that would be great :)
  17. I am trying to get into the RN program for Jan 2010. I wanted to know more about the admissions process. I took the Wonderlic and got a 22... I was so upset to miss it by only 2 questions. Now I am dreading taking it again because I guess you are only allowed to take it twice and if you don't pass I can't get into the program. I would love to hear what other peoples experiences were with the Wonderlic.
  18. well if you're right then it wont let me pay and register for another test. I will keep trying though and see if there is any change. Tried it twice so far and wouldnt let me.
  19. Do you know how long you should wait before trying that trick? I took my test today.
  20. I shut ff at 190 too, did you find out if you passed or failed?! BLAH soo stressed!
  21. No, not yet. I have to finish Information Literacy, and Probability & Statistics. Then I will be able to send in everything. Have you applied yet?
  22. Dods I feel the same way as you do. I have all A's & B's, but my science grades are killing me, I have a retake in Micro but got a B, and in A & P i have C's. I took the classes when I was 16 & 17 years old. Otherwise my grades are fine. I also did very well in my LVN program, graduated with an average of 90% in all my classes. but that's not looked at as far as who gets in and who doesnt. I was wondering the same thing, if anyone has gotten in that has a 2.75 to a 3.2 in their pre reqs. So please anyone that has heard from anyone whos gotten in with these grades let us know!
  23. i am at a different lvn program and am thinking about switching to Homestead. I called them today and they said they have class M-Th. from 9-3. I think there are classes on the weekend every once in awhile too. Im not really sure how it all works. I have to go in and talk to them more about it. Im hoping to go in tomorrow. Have you heard anymore about the program?
  24. Hey everyone! I am an LVN student and thinking about the LVN-BSN program after I finish. Im just trying to figure out more about the program. Its on campus right? I just want to know what people think of it and the process of getting in. What is the Math and Eng. tests like? Is it basic algebra or a little more in depth? I also was wondering if there is a wait list and when they accept applications. Thanks for your time!
  25. I thin its partially online but you still go in once a week. its the only UOP LVN-BSN i believe for CA that is accepted
