My family and I are doing the numbers on traveling. I'm trying to understand the cost of health insurance from the "Healthcare Exchange." It asked me what my income will be. Depending on the answer greatly changes the tax credit you receive to offset your monthly premium. They are looking for your Adjusted Gross Income. I couldn't find anywhere how stipends affect your AGI. Most articles I found referred to education type stipends. So if you receive at the end of the year $80,000 total, half of which was stipends. Would your adjusted gross income be around 40,000 or still 80,000. I know that is greatly simplified but I'm just trying to get an idea. 40k-50k AGI you actually get some kind of credit. 80k or so your paying full price when looking at my situation. Thanks for the help. Love the forum.
