Hi, is there anyone here working in a Congregate living facility? Just want to have some input/advice as I've mostly worked in SNFs and this setting is new and confusing for me. Thanks!

Thanks po! I got a job offer this week. Orientation is on Monday and they're asking me to bring my LVN and CPR cert so I looked for a class and registered for tomorrow. It's a training center po. I'm just worried po kasi sa validity po. But this CPR training center has a lot of reviews naman po. I'm just thinking about the IV class because the board has a list of approved providers po diba, and here in my area, there are just 3 and I tried to contact them all but they're always unavailable. Is it okay po ba to take the IVT from training centers or hospitals or just from the ones in the list on the board's website? Thanks, again!

Hello po @Samantha O5 & @rulguil01! Newly passed LVN here, too! I was actually browsing about LVNs with no experience because I'm feeling really down and I just want to see/know if there's someone out there going through the same as I am. I feel like I'm in the same boat as you were when you posted this and knowing what happened to you after (according to your comments) I feel happy for you, too! I also read your post po @rulguil01 and even though I don't have an LVN job yet, I can relate with how you felt back then. You guys inspires me. By the way po, just want to ask, I'm not sure how to get a CPR license/certificate. I tried to search online but there's just so many info and I'm not sure what to do. I see there are different types of training and I don't know which one to take. I also want to ask how the training would be like? (Like how many days, etc) And for the IV certification, I'm trying to look for one also but when I go to the school's website (listed on the BVNPT's site), it seems like the IV class is just a part of their Nursing program. Again, I also want to ask how the IV class would be like. Thank you po!
