Yes, I do have brothers that can help with out. He is high functioning, can be alone while I work or go to school. He's capable of cooking his own meals etc. I guess there's some hesitancy on my part because he's not as independent as I would like for him to be...still needs some guidance and assistance with life skills.

Hello all - I'm a practicing Medical Assistant for the last 20 yrs and am thinking about starting nursing school. I have a high functioning Autistic son who I'm trying to get transitioned to adulthood and am wondering if anyone else has the same challenge. It's getting to the point the I need an RN degree to be effective in my job. Any thoughts? Also I'm 45...is it too late?
