Hard work always pay back. As always said NCLEX is the most overwhelming test and for international students it is a whole different story as you have to struggle with the language. I was always inspired by reading the great stories here so, I decided to write mine:yes:. My two months preparation:brb: : I took Kaplan course online; expensive but worth every penny but you have to use it wisely. I relied on Saunders for my content review and it is a great book. La Charity for prioritization; thankful that I studied this book as I had a lot of prioritization questions. For my spare time in train or in line, I used NCLEX mastery app, easy and very helpful mobile app. I used the theory of 100 question every day which worked as I always had a goal to finish them. Being an international student with two years of gap, it took me a lot of time to review but I made sure that I review every question and rationale (do not cheat yourself). If you are confused in something, find the answer because you never know that could be the question in the NCLEX. This is an internet century, so make wise use of google and You tube, those videos about ECG, cardiovascular system actually helped me a lot. NCLEX question: After a long wait, I was giving the most important test of my life (for every nurse I guess). I got 121 question, very few SATA which scared hell out of me as everybody said, 'more SATA you get, you are in the game' but I got a lot of 'who do you see first'. I was hoping the NCLEX game to shut off at 75 but it didn't:no:. It was time for a break, always take the break and eat something. It shut off at 121 and I had no idea how I did as there were very few SATA. I came out and did the PVT but my results were in hold, probably because I forgot to give my cell phone to the administrator and kept it in my bag (silly). I tried 4hr later- hold, 24hr later-hold, 48hr later- hold, called pearson- hold, called NSCBN- hold:nailbiting: and after 6 days quick result: PASS.:) Believe in yourself beautiful people, you all can do it. We all are different person with different brains, each has their own way to study. Find the way that works for you and a review course that works your style. Eat, sleep, pray and work hard; NCLEX is not a joke. ALL THE BEST FUTURE RNs.
