Great info, thank you. I have an interview with St. Pete north for their emergency room tomorrow. I believe they are part of the HCA hospital system. I had applied for several positions with Adventist, but not a single phone call. I'm assuming it's because I won't work for less than what I am currently making and since I'm relocating, they don't want to pay out their incentives if they don't have to. I won't apply for another job in their system. I didn't see any job postings at Bay that I am qualified for or want to work in, but I'll check back frequently for updates. Thanks again!

Congratulations! I hope you love your new job! I appreciate the information. I have been looking in the New Port area. My concerns are the school systems not being ranked very well and I hear there is a lot of crime. It's so hard to know without being there. I'm planning a trip down in the next month or so to take a look at some of the housing and hopefully meet with a few potential employers. Thank you again!

Great thank you! I've considered agency but I haven't really looked into it that much. Maybe it would be worth it to try for a year while I get adjusted to the area? With the cost of living being a little higher than what I a.m. used to, I need the better pay more than the benefits.

Hello! I am a BSN with 2 years of experience in L&D and pediatric home health. I have recently received my Florida license and am planning to relocate to the area just north of Clearwater, from Indiana with my 2 teenagers and a toddler. I need to know what are my best options for work between salary and hours. Everything I read says how terrible the pay is but they are all from years ago. Can my fellow Florida nurses tell me how much the hospitals are paying, weekend option, any relocation, or sign on bonuses? And also, what about the home health industry? I have management experience as well, but not in the health care field. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Jennifer, RN, BSN
