Mosby's Nrs DVD skills
Hi AN Students and RNs, Would you recommend the Mosby Nursing DVD skills on : -Basic Intermediate & Advanced Skills -Maternal Newborn & Womens Health -Care of Infant and Children -Physical Exam & Health Assessment I am entering my 3rd semester with taking Medical Surgical, Maternity? I will be having Med Surg clinical rotation on Mondays, Maternity clinical rotation on Tuesdays and back to back class on the same day for both Med Surg (4 hr class) and Maternity (4hr class) on Wednesdays. I am visual and given the three straight days of clinicals and class I would like to have a good resource to come prepared to class. Please advice and if you have any suggestions, I would be most appreciative. I have seen you tube and some are helpful but want to make sure that what I am seeing is current. Thanks for your time and consideration. Hoping for input=)

Med Surg course dilemma
Thanks Dorkypanda, usually they put together maternity with pediatrics. Unfortunately and due to the change, I will have to take med surg with either one-maternity and pediatrics. I agree on your comment about med surg.

Med Surg course dilemma
Thanks RoseQueen. My school is an advanced track program and there was a last minute change with the med surg course that got cancelled. The advisor accommodated my class in the Community Health Course. In two weeks, I will be given the new schedule and usually it is not flexible. I was told by the advisor that I will have Med Surg with either Pediatrics or Maternity. Then, for the next semester, I will have the class of Ped or Maternity that I did not take along with mental health.

Med Surg course dilemma
Hi AN community, I am seeking guidance and input; I will either have a choice of med/surg with maternity class or med/surg with pediatrics or med/surg by itself. My dilemma is which is the better course to take med/surg with. Any input or suggestion will be most appreciated. I heard that maternity is a course that I should do after med/surg and not at the same time. By the time I start Med Surg, I have completed Foundations, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Community Nursing, Health Assessment, Nursing Informatics. Thanks MJ

Need advice > 69.48% HESI Fundamental
Looking for an action plan. I made in the Fundamentals HESI a 69.48%. At mid semester, I took the HESI Fund and got 70%. I am in my second career and it has been over 20 years that I took Human Anatomy and Physiology which my school validated for Hum Anat part I. I took the Hum Anat II last semester. Also, my school does not offer or require Nutrition and Medical Terminology. I do not have a clinical experience. I am schedule to continue to my second semester in a week. My classmates increase their score within 8 weeks from the mid semester by about 200-300 points. I did pass my class thanks to my good score in my work. I am dissatisfied with my outcome. After careful consideration and making an internal SWOT analysis of myself, I think it will be best for me to hold off the summer semester and give myself the opportunity to review and read a human anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and medical terminology to strengthen my understanding when I take the HESI. I am seeking any positive or negative constructive feedback or suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help.
