Oh yes theory and research... always my favorite! Yes, that has been a lot of reading. I'm thankful to have pretty good group members so far. Just trying to takes notes along the way while I'm reading to answer the first group discussion question. This is the third time I will be in some sort of theory course (first in my ADN program and then again in RN-BSN program). Okay makes me feel better! I was spending about 8 hours the first couple of weeks getting all the material down but now spending about 4 hours-ish reviewing. How about you?

I'm not reading the entire chapters, I'm just now starting to read with what coincides with the blueprint. I've really been focusing on her notes, study questions, and that primer handbook for genetics. She reiterated not reading the chapters in their entirety. I've pretty much gone over all of the material, now I'm just reviewing over and over and over to get it to stick! I'm having the most trouble differentiating osmotic pressure, oncotic pressure, (terms like that, etc). We shall see when Tuesday comes. Best of luck to you too!

Anyone go to orientation? I will be going July 22. I was wondering if they have a syllabus for us for pathophysiology or nursing theory and research? TIA!

I will be going to the make up on July 22, I will be out of state unfortunately on the orientation dates. Just wanted to make sure no one had registered for that CORE class yet. Thought it said registration was required by July 11.

How do we register for CORE?

Any Facebook group out there for AGACNP starting this Fall? Also, do we have to do anything for the background check? Like get fingerprints or anything? On Castlebranch it has my confirmation, but do they just send everything automatically or what?

I have to say I was pretty shocked myself. I got accepted into an FNP program somewhere else and wasn’t counting on this acceptance. I’m so excited!!!! And yes I got the acceptance yesterday.

I applied to the ACNP before the new June 1 deadline. Has anyone heard back from this new deadline extension? I just paid for my supplemental application yesterday! Does everyone get the supplemental or just to those who are likely to get accepted (dumb question).
