  1. Thanks for the info. It is so frustrating to find programs that cost less and are less time to complete and not be allowed to apply!
  2. I graduated with my MSN Education last year. Started on my DNP shortly after because most of the teaching jobs here require that. My goal is to work as an FNP and teach part time for a while and eventually go to full time teaching. So, is there a way to get my FNP now while I'm working on my DNP? I'm in NC, so some programs won't take NC students due to regulatory issues. Any thoughts, suggestions, experience with this?
  3. May I ask what your weekly school schedule is like? Is there a test or paper each week? Have you done online studies before at any other school? I have done 2 degrees with Grand Canyon and felt their classes were extremely organized. Do you feel that you know what you are expected to do from week to week? Thanks for the advice and good luck! Hang in there!
  4. Has anyone attended or graduated from Kaplan? I have my MSN and it looks like I can complete my post masters FNP fairly quickly there and it's not terribly expensive. I have looked at my local state schools, but there are not too many post masters options, so it would take much longer and I wouldn't be able to start anywhere until August of next year. With Kaplan, I could start as early as December. It just makes me nervous since I don't know anyone who has attended this school. Any input welcome!
  5. May I ask where you did your certs?
  6. I recently completed my MSN Education. I am interested in getting my FNP and don't want to start over from the BSN point. Has anyone completed a certificate program to obtain their FNP post masters? Some of the programs seem to accept the MSN Ed and some seem to want you to have an MSN with some sort of NP specialty already. Also, I live in NC, which seems to exclude some options. Any input on experiences with this would be helpful!
