She was fired the day I was injured when I left to go to urgent care. Not until mid february was i harassed by the new administrator. Our state's nursing board investigated the incident, subpoenaed DON's work records, and is now onto prosecution. For legal purposes, I'm going to hold injury back and the method of injury, but it would be considered battery under court of law. As of now, the injury is temporary. Have more doctors appointments to try and diagnose the injury and see if it is actually permanent. If so, I cannot go back to bedside nursing.

I have been injured by my DON in December. She was fired, but now my work is not accommodating my restrictions from the injury. When the new administrator came on, he tried to send me to laundry trying to convince me that it was only temporary, i'll retain salary, that it would "protect me", but I would have to have a new badge, can't wear nursing uniform, and cannot go onto patient floors. He tried to make me sign an altered job description. (I'M A BSN, RN CHARGE NURSE).I hired a lawyer and I was placed on TTD (Total Temporary Disability) because they didn't want to accommodate me. I'm technically still employed by the location that I work, but how can I return after they tried to make me quit? How can I find a new job?! What if injury is permanent and I cannot be a bedside nurse again?
