Hey Azmama86! I am so sorry to hear that! It was tough for me, that for sure! I have been accepted to attend MCC! The nursing director was so kind and generous to ask everyone who requested a seat to write her a letter to tell her more about ourselves and what we would do differently to pass the second time around. She was the only school that took the time out to get to know us. So what are you doing now? Are you taking block 4 this summer?

My cohort was the first to start the new curriculum at EMCC and we had 5 weeks of psych. The rest was Ned surg. Yes, hit on your F&E. Other than that you will cover plenty of respiratory and cardiac. Good luck.

Thanks MrsBoots for your response! I've been told numerous times it isn't unusual but I think it's seems bizarre because I didn't realize how many of us were in jeopardy going into our final. And I don't think some of whom failed realized it either. I'm not sure why EMCC won't take us. I just received an email yesterday from the nursing director stating she would review the readmission requests and decide then. But the way she said it made me think we wouldn't all get accepted back. They have 26 students going into block 2 for Fall. I think 8 more wouldn't be an issue.

Hello fellow nursing students and nurses! I WAS part of the CEP program with NAU/EMCC this Spring '16 semester. However I failed the block. Actually 8 of us did total. Crazy, right? I couldn't believe how many of us did not succeed. Well we were told we needed to contact the other Maricopa CC's to request a seat into the upcoming Fall semester. Now after two weeks we are all waiting on only 3 of the 7 colleges to respond. The rest are full. How likely is it for a readmit/CEP student to get back in for the next semester? I'm afraid with my terrible hesi score and proctored points from this semester I won't have a fighting chance against others (we were told they base entrance off these two things for readmission). I'm worried I may have to go through the entire process again (if two semesters pass and we haven't been accepted we have to start the entire process over-wait list, acceptance and start at block one). Any thoughts, ideas? I'm going mad refreshing my mailbox every 15 minutes waiting for an acceptance email. Thank you all in advance!
