  1. I'm doing the same as you. Getting all the fluff outta the way so that I can focus on core nursing classes. That will leave me with 9 credits some terms but then there are some where I'll still have more than that. And thanks for the info about the book. I'll definitely look for that. It's an exciting time and also a scary one for us-this not knowing what to expect. I hope we do well.
  2. Can anyone find info on this? the rationale for using the cat to study musculature in a Human Anatomy and Physiology Course. Your report should include 1) the muscles of the cat that are not found in the human (hint: there are 3) and explain why they may not be present and 2) which muscles in the cat have a different shape or orientation from those found in the human (hint: there are 4) and explain why they are different.
  3. If the other staff are called by their surnames. The housekeeping staff should be also. Beyond titles each person is just that-a person, everyone deserves the same respect, regardless of occupation.
  4. Thanks! I'm feeling more and more encouraged with people in my situation who say they've done it. And it's not impossible. I already knew it would be hard. I was just hoping it was possible.
  5. All Posts, politically correct-or not- welcome.
  6. Ohmigosh, THANK YOU!! That was encouraging. It sounds like you were in the same situation that I'm in!! I have to work full time to live and I'm willing to make sacrifices to go to school. I may be able to work something out with the hospital where I could flex also. Thanks for the encouragement even though realistically its going to be tough.
  7. I've not yet had a direct response to the question of working full time while going to school full time. I'm pre nursing; no children, 29 years old, and living on my own. I work in a hospital that seems to only be interested in helping you if you're an RN going into an advanced degree. Well, I'm just a secretary looking to get my ADN. I have two more semesters and an ACT test to take before I'm done with my prereqs. (I have not yet applied to the program). Is there anyone with no kids and little responsibility who has good things to say about working full time while going through nursing school?
